Thinking of taking the plunge on this, but if it's as terrifying as RE7, I'm out. What are people's thought on the level of scares, compared to its predecessor?

I'd say that overall it's less scary than RE7 as it's more action focused. However, there is one section of the game that is particularly creepy which I think at least matches 7 in terms of horror. It is only a short part of the overalls game though.

I think you'll mostly be OK apart from one section, as Sawyer says. It's an action horror with emphasis on the action and a bit less on the horror, whereas 7 is more the other way round.

Thanks guys, hmm, I think about it. I saw a section in a wooded area, where it's really dark and you're just stumbling about with a torch, is that it?

That's right at the beginning of the game and it only lasts a couple of minutes. The section I'm talking about is much worse :lol:

Yeah they definitely set up a Chris DLC in the ending. I'm 100% sure he'll be punching boulders through BSAA HQ in about six months time.
