I do like the Village Hub.

Factory Boss fight- I was pretty meh on the whole area but the line "I'm going to murder that boulder punching asshole" got a laugh out of me.

Yeah I was stuck in an active volcano with some bleach blonde bloke with tentacles coming out his back and sides and had to punch a boulder to make a path so we could fill him with lead and escape then shoot 2 missiles into him as he melted in the lava...

Only the Sport would publish that story :slol:

Game completed in 10 and a bit hours though Steam is saying I've played for 15. It's a weird one, I think RE7 was better but there were a lot of things I liked about Village. I just can't get over the fact it feels like a lot has been cut out, dumping all that exposition right at the end didn't help in that regard.

I didn't hate the plot though Chris is indeed a moron now and surely a lot of the plot could have been avoided if he'd just shared information with Ethan earlier. Also I don't think it was explained why Chris moved Ethan and Mia near a village he knew was BOW central. And wouldn't Mia herself have known that given that she was involved in the corporation who created Eveline? strawberry float off with that Spencer retcon though. :lol:

That was extremely stupid.

Probably give it 7/10 right now but that might go up to an 8 after a few playthroughs with the bonus weapons.

I find it best not to give the plot or overall story any thought, which feels wrong as RE lore is vast and expansive. How this all clicks in, I’ll never know. Very, very clumsy.

Could be worse, just look at Kingdom Hearts lore.

Trading my copy of Village today but the new game plus mode appeals greatly…probably in a couple of year. You can up the difficulty for it?

Upgrade or downgrade aye. Going to downgrade to casual for my sub-3 hour attempt.

Yeah Chris is incredibly stupid. Maybe he lost it when he tones down his muscles and got a bit fat?

Seemed a weird way to do the DLC, feels like a bunch of stuff no one was really asking for. I’m sure it’ll be interesting though so keen to find out more.

I’ve still yet to play this but I’m tempted to wait and play it in 3rd person mode as I think I’d prefer that.

I only played the first zone before getting bored but third person mode is very tempting.

DLC looked great, best get on with the main game then.... loved what I played but just dropped it about 3hrs in... did same with 7 and went back to finish.

You can play as Lady Dimitrescu in Mercenaries!

I absolutely rinsed Village during the week of its release so I'm less excited about the DLC than I should be :'(
