Yup. Started by none other than Peter Molyneux.

Why did you tell me that. I liked Bullfrog until you said that.

You realise Peter Molyneux is responsible for some of the best games ever made.

Populous 1/2, Powermonger, Magic Carpet, Theme Park, Dungeon Keeper. And he wasn't the desginer on it, but Syndicate too I suppose (seeing as he founded the company).

I'd say Graftgold were the best developers. If only for their phenomenal conversions of Rainbow Islands. The 8bit versions in particular.

Also, Rainbow Arts with their Turrican games AND The Great Giana sisters. They went onto form Factor 5. And arguably, created the best looking Gamecube game ever.

Bullfrog were always my favourite as I really loved Theme Park and they were based just up the road from me in Guildford.

Bullfrog were the best and so were Magic Carpets 1&2. I'm still holding out for Peter Molenyeux to make Magic Carpet 3 with Lionhead on Xbox 360 seeing as no one actually owns the licence any more and Peter did helm the project with Bullfrog. Imagine it with HD graphics riding on magic carpets online , fighting against one another, putting up castles and dismantling other peoples to collect there mana. Only one can dream.

Bullfrog and Psygnosis were the studios I enjoyed the most during the mid nineties

Meh. i thought Magic Carpet was awful. At the time I'd spunked £1500 on a new PC, and this was the game I bought to play with it. 'Decent' ish graphics but boring gameplay.
