I have a list of around 12 or so N64 games that I intend to play through one by one. Still going for a complete PAL N64 collection (unboxed) but I'm starting to struggle now, almost everything that does the rounds on eBay I now have, CEX is pretty much my only source now. I do keep an eye on charity shops but most have wised up they can charge loads more putting stuff like this on eBay so that supply has dried up.

How many games you got?

Think I'm up at about 130 now, after picking up an unspellable golf simulator and NBA Live '99 at a retro shop in Grainger Market down in Newcastle last week. Sounds like Nintendonerd might be a little further along than I am. The only things you rarely see on eBay nowadays are the likes of Flying Dragon, or the three Australian PAL exclusives(Snowboard Kids 2, Starcraft and HSV Adventure Racing, which is Beetle Adventure Racing only without the Volkswagens and with the Australian car brand Holden. Fun fact - all the spaceships in Thor: Ragnarok are named after Holden cars).

My next purchase will be a full set of PAL stickers from Etsy, so I can see exactly what I've got and need at a glance. Sadly, saving for a wedding and the missus' visa/citizenship application are sucking all my funds away from what's really important. :shifty:

I'm around the 150 mark so not that far ahead ;-) , the last couple I picked up were the two duke Nukem games, I'm just struggling to justify the expense with some of them though, my most expensive so far was San Francisco Rush 2049, paid 65 on eBay. I've made my own top labels, just get some sticky back gloss labels and draft up a template then I just used Wikipedia to get the game logo and paste onto my template, I know it sounds a massive faff but it doesn't take long to do.

I think I have about 120 N64 carts but probably only 100 different , a few are just spares I picked up cheap and then the odd game I have a pal and a USA or a pal and a Japanese cart.. I would like more but I don't want to pay piles and piles of money for them.

I'm looking to sell taz express boxed in very good condition if anyone is interested in completing PAL N64.

Yeah, this is the issue I'm having now, I've pretty much got all the ones that I actually want to play now, lots of the sports games can be picked up relatively cheaply from CEX which will boost my numbers considerably, however I have no interest in playing them. That just leaves the remaining rare/expensive games, I may give up at this point and move on to Dreamcast collecting :-)

I picked that one up a couple of week's back, hadn't played it before, great game. I did have the N64 back in the day but due to being at school/college I was limited to the bigger releases as birthday prezzies etc.

Not sure if sincere or not...probably the most expensive console to collect games for as a ratio of cost to quantity.

Yeah, I've been keeping an eye on prices for a while, the attraction to Dreamcast is the smaller number of games released (space is a major issue) and my good memories from back in the day.

Dreamcast was one of my all time favourite consoles, the sheer amount of games for PS1/2 SNES/Megadrive make collecting too daunting for me to contemplate.

I have that one, my collection is also unboxed as I don't have the money (or the space) for a boxed collection.

Bought another OG Xbox (to replace my modded one) only to discover the disc drive didn't work properly so returned it. Bit annoyed as the seller Music Magpie are usually pretty good.

Not sure I'll bother with another as it was a pain having to hulk this brick of a console up to the post office. Downside being I've half a dozen games I can no longer play.

I think mine was replaced as the original drive always had issues.

I just realised that the original Game Boy reaches thirty years old next month. It launched in Japan in April 1989; before arriving during July 1989 in the United States and then September 1990 in the UK / Europe.

Thirty years! .

Yeah it's crazy.

I switched it on the other night just to hear the Nintendo beep and then switched it off again :shifty:

Hope this thread isn't too old as I would love to revive it!

Anyone got anything to share this weekend?! I'm going to have a move around of the Cube shrine on Sunday. Pics will follow!

Good shout, Doom! I just noticed that the thread banner has gone due to the tinypic.com apocalypse so I'll try and replace it this evening.

It feels about time that I posted some retro gear pics so I'll delve into my cupboard later. Looking forward to seeing some new shots of your Cube setup :-) .

I’ve picked up a few more N64 games since my last pic so I’ll try and get some collection pics up in the near future. :D

I'm planning on sharing some pics of my original Xbox collection during the coming week. Will get the camera ready and dig stuff out.

I'll look forward to that, Jawa!

I've stopped buying retro/classics now. I've reached a satisfactory point in my collection. The last "oldie" I bought was Stranglehold on 360.

I bought that last year as well - haven't had the chance to play it yet.

I'll also try and put up a couple of pics of my 360 collection - it's about 50 strong I think.
