Whilst Lotus may have beaten me to the punch with his Gameboy, here's my effort:

*not in picture - a second copy of Tetris, because I guess you can never have too many copies.

Pedz, you could still join in by posting a pic of one or two of your cool GC items if you wanted too? Everyone is welcome at the Weekender!

Hyperion wrote:These aren't mine but they were to hand and look cool :toot: ...

Uh... they're not yours, Hypes? Feels like there could be a story in this one! The DK gear does look superb, though... bonus points for including the DK toy! I've not played Jungle Beat on the Cube but I do have it for the Wii. Nice pic, dude!

ITSMILNER wrote:This is the majority of my GC collection...

Wow! Milner breaks the back of the net with an epic display of GC gear! Crumbs, this is quite a collection; so many ace titles. It's great to see Beyond Good & Evil make an appearance and I've always liked the look of that Billy Hatcher game! Maybe in future Weekenders you could focus in on a couple of the games - it'd be so cool to cast an eye over your vast number of titles in greater detail, man. Thanks for sharing your collection!

We can never have too much GameBoy, Preezy! That canary yellow GB Color is a doozy; so bold and breezy! I love the GB Color and I have a yellow version in my collection, too. Of course, having the classic Tetris game pak to hand makes for an unbeatable combination. Good to see you at this Weekender launch, dude!

Okay, our first Retro Club Weekender draws to a close! Thanks to everyone who posted a photo, made a comment and even just looked over the pics. It seems that many GRcadians have an appetite for retro gaming / collecting and so it'd be terrific to see our good start carried on to future Weekenders.

Until next weekend... keep your eyes on the pixels :toot: .

Strangely from putting my gamecube pic on imgur its now had 2000 views and quite a few comments. I made the upload public and it got some nice attention. I don't really use imgur for much else than uploading images so that was a nice surprise.

While sorting some stuff I found some mint boxed snes games with all the inserts, as well as a bunch of SNES console inserts, manuals and adverts and such- I'll try to post them soon- I tried but imgur is playing up when using the web app :(

This is a brilliant thread

I was gutted that it started this weekend as I've been away at the in-laws so don't have any of my stuff to hand.

However, fortune struck.

The mother in law has had a clear out of the loft, and my brother in law doesn't want his Mega Drive stuff any more.

I'm probably up about twenty or thirty games and some peripherals. Some are doubles and some stuff may not work, but I'm disgustingly excited to get all this new stuff home!

That's all you're getting for now as I only had time for one photo before we left. More next week...

Lotus wrote:Okay, so here's my modest Gameboy collection...

Lotus lands with some GameBoy-inspired spring sunshine! I really like the visual delight of GameBoy gear and that bold, vibrant yellow just yells "fun!". The console appears to be in lovely condition. Great stuff, and there is a nice collection of game paks, too. Of course, MGS stands out as it is quite a collectible. But... you've got me thinking, dude - MGS is a GB Color game so it wouldn't work on that GameBoy, right? Maybe you have the Color console, too?

Thanks for lighting up the first Weekender with that classic GB gear, Lotus!

I had mgs for GB too but I had no idea what happened to it..

Is Donkey Konga always meant to have that sleeve? As if so that went with all the boxes my brother threw away in spite of knowing they mattered to me.

Edit: 70 quid boxed for mgs?? Oh strawberry floating strawberry float off.

Well, not often seventy, Gecko - good condition, boxed copies go for thirty to fifty on eBay. It is a popular collectible as it not only has the famous MGS brand but it reviewed well and appeared to have had a fairly limited release in the UK / Europe. I remember getting my copy from the (now gone) MVC shop on London Bridge!

I got mine from woolies. They were suspicious as to whether I was 11.

Hypes roars away from the starting line and slams down some SNES goodness! Your console looks to be in great condition, dude... and you get bonus points for including Captain Falcon in the scene :toot: .

I guess that the console is connected up to your TV just out of shot, Hypes? I've spotted the Wii U next to it... which is in use at the time of the photo  .

Console is hooked up to a CRT just below. Think you need to use your Wii U more jawa, it's not in use, just plugged in ;)

Sounds like a real neat setup, man.
