I've never really touched the PS1 version of Doom so I would be interested to see that!

It's Doom with slightly modified levels, coloured lights and a different (I prefer the PC version ) soundtrack. That's pretty much it.
EDIT: It does contain both Doom and Doom II levels from memory. The Doom levels use the same simplified layouts as most of the other console ports at the time (Based on the Jaguar version) and run fine, but the Doom II levels haven't been optimised for the consoles and have frame-rate issues.

Yeah it's the soundtrack that intrigues me. Many people have claimed over the years that it's better than the original (it clearly isn't) but it would be nice to hear it in context!

Opinions vary but I love the PS version of the Doom soundtrack; it's totally different... more atmospheric and "daunting". The PC's original "rock" version is, of course, great, too, and they each create quite a vibe. I'm fond of the PS version because it was the first console version that really captured the speed and slickness of the original; it was quite a tech feat for the time.

Nice one, Pedz. Just an idea - for future polls, would you be able to hit the option to allow people to amend their vote? Sometimes I feel like I may want to change and it'd be neat to be able to do so. Just a thought, dude :-) .

I enjoyed the Dragon's Fury / Devil Crash stream; it was great to see and contrast both versions. There was some cool chat during the session, too.
