That's what I said.

Also, I'm in the middle of the third dungeon now, a bit behind schedule.

I'm going to get started on the second lot of checkpoints now. It's odd, considering I only played the game fully last Christmas (I'd got about half way through a few years before that), but I do feel a bit of nostalgia toward the game.

It feels odd playing it during the warm summer weather though.

I still haven't found any Golden Leaves. So only two dungeons done.

You are just looking around the castle bit, yes?

Also:

I could cry at that, but I won't.

Well... I've not really looked anywhere, really. I've been a bit distracted... I did find a monkey, though. He's hungry.

Dungeon 4. Not quite the speedy affair of dungeons 1 to 3. I'll get to the Catfish Maw, yet.

Can I be (very) late to the party? I've only played through this once ages ago, so this would be a good reason to replay. I'll try to catch up

Edit: Curses, found my old GBC, but not the cartridge. I'll see if I can get a rom for my DS instead.

Edit 2: Got one working! Here I go!

Sorry for the delay fellas, I've only started this today. I'll put a few more hours in tonight, as I probably won't play it tomorrow (results and all that), but I'll catch up.

Finished Tail Cave and Bottle Grotto 8-) It seems I've forgotten most of it since I last played it (which must have been 10 years ago or so). Just done the golden leaves thing, and got to Key Cavern.

I seem to manage to die in stupid ways too. So far I've been killed by the dog when trying to talk to Marin, and fallen in holes too often in Richard's Garden of Death :fp: Serves me right for being impatient.

You need to give him Bananas which you get from the trading sidequest.

Hint: Start with the Yoshi doll from the game-shop in the village.

I've currently completed the first three dungeons; I aim to get started on the fourth later tonight.

Edit

Ok, 4th dungeon done. That was a great dungeon. I really enjoyed that one. Took me awhile to get through it, as it's been a while since I last played Awakening, but I'm happy to report no deaths during this dungeon. I've now got 13 Seashells, only 7 to go, and picked up another Heart Piece.

I may be in for an R4 play-through. Someone PM me a link and instructions on how to get a GB game to run on my DS and I'll see how quickly I can catch up.

No PMs? Fine, I didn't want to play anyway.

Hmmm, i definitely missed some seashells then, I think I have 11 now and I'm currently searching for the key to the 6th dungeon. Hoot hoot.

I think the two you might have missed come from the seashell house itself.

When you have exactly 5 seashells and go to the seashell house, you get an extra seashell.

The same happens when you have exactly 10.

Hmm... Seashell, seashell...

She sells seashells on the sea shore.

Everyone who is playing should listen to it. In fact, everyone should listen to it anyway.

Does that mean you can't get those once you have more than 5 / 10? Drat and double drat!

I did that too. Hmph. I'm on 11 seashells now.
Powered through more today, so completed Key Cavern, Angler's Tunnel and Catfish Maw. All up to date! :D
Loads of great moments: Tarin being chased by the bees, the photographer falling off the bridge, that moment on the beach with Marin, "You got Marin! Is this your big chance?"

Also, I wish I could use my old GB Printer with it, the photos are great!
