Returnal - "Hades x Aliens x Metroid" - PC version officially confirmed

FFS I just had an amazing run on act 3 only to realise I haven’t done something I needed to complete the game :fp:

Ive only just done it now, had to watch the credits this time due to the Blue Öyster Cult tune.

3rd run wasnt as good as my second and boss was harder this time but still didnt use my space man.

Now i need to 100% 5 areas which i am close to

For me, were it not for the crashes, it would have justified the price tag. But as mentioned before, I was renting it so... yeah :lol:

The real ending's meaning is so strawberry floating opaque that I think beating it the first time should count as beating it for good.

Currently on SALE on PlayStation store UK for £52.49. Sale lasts until 4th August.

Just bought this in the SALE, currently downloading now. Was torn between this and Avengers but I feel this deserves my money first.

Waited months to buy Returnal. Finally caved this week! Missed the sale. Sony have really managed to hack me off so far this generation.

Started this last night. I'm terrible at it. Not made any real progress and don't understand half of what's going on or I'm picking up.

Assault rifle seems good, alien shotgun is poor. I think I need to watch a few tips and tricks videos to get a bit of a head start.

That said. It plays super smooth and the movement is exceptional. Alien world is very well done and the aliens are all threatening.

Totally do that, and also check out those "Things I wish I knew before starting" lists.

Freebie tip of the thing that confused me most when I started: rooms filled with a green tint need the tower emitting the green to be destroyed. (It's healing all the mobs.)

Finally made it to the first permanent item upgrade, then met the first boss...... Starting again but with a permanent upgrade to help.

Item drops still rare, gone through the game so many times now

After 10 hours I've only once managed to get the first boss down to half of their final life bar.

I think I'm getting better and I'm using my ether to unlock stuff at the start. Currently at 7 ether per unlock. I read online that 10 is what to aim for.

Love the assault rifle and pretty much everything about the game. Just wish I was better at it or that it came with a difficulty slider.

You're using the extra life/lives, aye?

The astronaut? Yeah I use that for 1 free life at the boss. Also sometimes find a parasite that gives 1 free resurrection.

I need to do this too.

Remember the longer you use guns the more it unlocks. Some great mods appear so you can keep firing and concentrate on dodging. Things like homing shots and portals really come in handy later on.

And the unlocks persist through to other runs. Though which perks you get with a weapon is still random, ofc.

Took me a while to find my gun of choice but it ended up being the Hollowseeker especially when you get portals unlocked.
