Another play through and nothing. Housemarque have a lot to answer for!

This game is like crack.

I'm at the third biome now, on 13 deaths so far. The moment to moment gameplay is just delightful.

Badly needs a save function as I'm a starting to get a little annoyed at having to dedicate 2+ hours at a time to runs and having the PS in rest mode.

I do like the sound of the game and would be keen to try it although - for me! - this is a key issue; I would want some sort of save point made possible. IIRC the developer is working on patching in save functionality?

Being the father of two smallies, gaming need to be swift, sharp and enjoyable.

It’s a great game but I wasn’t getting any joy having an area close behind me, and getting killed in one out of nowhere hit after 45 mins of play.
And having to start again….

I want to advance, but the randomness of the upgrades and extras and weapons mean I can’t continue with it.

Not bad going only 13 deaths. I certainly was over 30 when I finished.

I completed Returnal in 41 hours, I am now on 62, thats 22 hours of trying to find missing glths and I still have 3 Biomes left to complete

Most of my deaths were in the level, bosses 1,2,4 & 6 I only died once, it was boss 3 that took a lot of lives. ALl the rest were just in levels and falling off platforms.

Yeah I've actually hit a wall today and can't get back to boss 3, I got to him once which was the run straight after beating boss 2 and I was flying but since yesterday I have now died about 8 times to levels (strawberry floating DRONES).

Kinda feel this way. Love the design and general gameplay. I appreciate the tension created by the structure I just can't "afford" to lose a lot of playtime when there are other games I have on the go. Will go back to this but I'm hoping for a save system.

2 more runs through biomes 2 & 3 and still nothing! I am starting to feel my game is glitched!

At this point I would start to wonder if you’re just doing something wrong

Not sure I can be doing anything wrong, I clear the whole area than walk and re walk through the whole area investigating every nook and cranny! Looked online and already have found the ones people have easily missed too! like the ones in the water. My PS5 says investigate every area which leads me to believe that there are areas that still haven't spawned.

That door up on the ledge in the crash site in biome 1 leads to secret areas in biomes 2 & 3 that can’t be accessed any other way
