Synopsis: Wealth, beauty and status define the people in this town, but one woman is willing to destroy everyone for the sake of revenge.

Emily Thorne (Emily Van Camp) is new to the Hamptons. She's met some of her wealthy neighbors, has made a few new friends and seemingly blends into the town. But something is a little odd about a young girl living in a wealthy town all on her own, and the truth is that Emily isn't exactly new to the neighborhood. In fact, this was once her old neighborhood, until something bad happened that ruined her family and their reputation. Now Emily is back, and she's returned to right some of those wrongs in the best way she knows how – with a vengeance.

One of my guilty pleasures of the latest USTV season, a bit of a modern day Dallas, a bit soapy but a lot of fun. It's a modern day take on the story of The Count Of Monte Cristo. The 1st season has just finished in the US so plenty of spoilers around.

Oh great, more American opulence, met with poetic justice or not. No thanks.

This is the best new US drama of the season, heavily inspired by The Count of Monte Cristo. Emily Thorne is the most badass character on any show besides Walter White. For all intents and purposes, she is the television incarnation of The Dark Knight.

It is good, but I think it is getting worse.

It is, they should go back to the procedural format where she utterly annihilates another one of her enemies every week, like it was in the first half of the season. Was more entertaining than the soapy multi-episode arc.

Yes exactly, I don't want her to be a victim dealing with soap bullshit.
