Wow, someone from Official Playstation Magazine postedin my thread. It's almost like the time I got killed by OXM Monobrow on Call of Duty 3.

I think the Edge 10 is the pinnacle of awards for a game. I don't think Halo 3 deserved it, likewise with GTAIV.

Stop talking gooseberry fool :D

GTAIV is the only game to get full markes in both Edge and Games TM, trufax. Also did you ever see the Edge Innovation award?

Those two games really ruined the "reputation" an Edge 10 has for me.

How would a 9 ruin the reputation of a 10?

There's a gulf of difference.

This is like a proper forum.gamesradar.com discussion! Keep it up guys.

S'good to see you still hold onto the same views as a couple of years ago. At least the pair of you are consistent.

The only review score that matters to me is the Official MCN Magazine™ score.

Ditch scores and do like Gamesradar have + and - sections at the end. Well written article is more important than scoring. Scoring is just so the games have little captions to put on the boxes!

I never said Gamesradar was well written. The Full stop is very important. End of one thought, start of another! I simply meant the + and - sections are a good idea

You'll love.....
You'll hate.....

The well written article is obviously not one of GR's strengths!

 Do you get annoyed by review scores in general? No.

 Which magazine/online source do you find to be the most trustworthy when it comes to scores I don't know.

 Give an example of a review score you agreed with entirely. Haven't got one.

 Give an example of a review score you disagreed with entirely. Haven't got one.

 What would you change about the way games are reviewed, if anything? No strawberry floating scores.

 Which magazine/online source do you find to be the most trustworthy when it comes to scores None really, I just get whatever, mainly renting

 Give an example of a review score you agreed with entirely. None I can think of

 Give an example of a review score you disagreed with entirely. Same as above

 What would you change about the way games are reviewed, if anything? I'd like to see another way or games being reviewed, see my last post.

 Do you get annoyed by review scores in general? - Not particularly

 Which magazine/online source do you find to be the most trustworthy when it comes to scores - I've a sub to GamesTM, which I find to be more in line with my tastes than any other mag out there. I also buy Edge monthly (I should really subscribe to this as well), and I check out GameTrailers a lot, mainly because it shows gameplay and I can get a resonable impression of the game from someone playing it.

 Give an example of a review score you agreed with entirely. - Proabaly Edge 10 for Ocarina

 Give an example of a review score you disagreed with entirely. - Edge 10 for GTAIV

 What would you change about the way games are reviewed, if anything? - I'd like to see a second opinion box-out alongside the main review, and I'd like to see the end to the 'hive-mind' mentality that Edge favours. Basically, I like to know who reviews each game. That way, over time, you'd get to know what type of games they prefer and whether they give a bad review to a type of game that they're not all the fond of.

Aside from that, just generally reiterate what has been said above. I've been gaming for over 20 years now, and I know what type of games I like. I'm certainly not going to ditch a game from a genre I like if it get's a pasting in a certain mag; unless there's something really broken with said game.
