Don't forget you can actually buy the 3D version if it's around the same price as the standard as you get a non-3D Blu Ray copy of the movie and the Special Features disc isn't in 3D either.

Just happy I got it for £14.99 from Sainsbury's 8-)

David infected holloway, what was his aim, did he know what would happen. Throughout the film he acts independently and goes a bit rogue doing things that endanger the crew with seemingly no explanation.

Otherwise a great film, the set design, special effects and atmosphere are top notch. Only negative is they tried a little too hard towards the end to shoe horn in the set up for alien. It stands on its own, didn't need to try so hard to twist story for continuity issues.

He wanted to see what would happen and if it would help Weyland live longer.

I suspect [David somehow worked out what was in the containers was some kind of biological agent and being scientifically curious as to what it does, decides to test it on the crew, possibly on Waylands orders or maybe just 'because he can'.

Saw this on the plane. Better than I thought it would be but still a bit gooseberry fool.

Just noticed an extra on the iTunes copy I downloaded. Transmission, a clip of Charlie and Elizabeth getting suited up in the space gear making a final transmission to Earth or whoever.

It really grates on me like a cheese grater when this gooseberry fool happens. So to get the best version of the film I'd have to buy a fricking blu ray to get all those juicy extras

It's odd that the trailers don't seem to be on any versions. The original trailer is probably one of my favourite trailers ever.

You get the trailers on the 3 disc blu ray set.

I've exhausted the film this week. Watched it twice, once with Ridley commentary and watched all the extras including the 3 hour 40 min!!! Making of documentary.

Given the time that Blu Ray has been out now. I'm surprised at any film fan that doesn't have a Blu Ray player.

Saw this for the first time tonight and thought it was great, really wish I didn't listen to all the negativity at release as I imagine that was pretty special at the cinema.
