It also seems like it might affect the form you have to use (like squats need to be deeper and hold for longer, knee lifts have to be higher), but that might be just down to me being more mindful of my form after yesterday destroying me

Upped the intensity by 2 points to 16 today and definitely felt it more! Had a quick go at some of the "quick exercise" challenges as well, managed to get to 100 on the 30s ring press challenge but it was tough!

Completed World 2 this morning and I'm very impressed with this piece of kit. My legs had that jelly feeling walking upstairs to take a shower so I know it's doing something! Oh I love how unlocks and stats can make even exercise seem fun :msgreen:

We are at the same speed in terms of progression :toot: Completed World 2 when I woke up before breakfast, was great though I have gone back through World 1 to go through them again for the exp :shifty:

Step daughter had a go yesterday and struggled, was the funniest thing I'd ever seen and then noticed she's set her level to 7 :slol:

It’s kind of amazing how quickly lost fitness can start to come back to you.

Day 1 I could manage just under 7 minutes.
Day 2 I’m still sore but in better spirits and can do 10.
Day 3 and I’ve no energy all day, limbs are stiff, but I breeze to 20 in the evening.

Think I’ll finish the W2 boss tomorrow and just mess around with some of the free exercises until I’ve done 30, then aim to clear every world in one sitting going forward.

I think this is a little overly ambitious judging by World 4! I'd assume they get even bigger/harder.

Finally killed the World 3 boss on my third try. I'm on difficulty 19.

Run into a - hopefully temporary - "problem" of sorts which the world 3 boss exacerbated. Basically I have 2 powerful attacks. Warrior 1 and Leg raises. They are 60 power each, with every other attack being 30 at most.

There was no way to easily kill the 3rd boss without just spamming those attacks back to back, leading to a very boring and repetitive workout. The next level then gave me tougher enemies to fight who, again, only effectively went down by spamming those two attacks.

It got to the point where I was tactically trying to fit in a weaker red attack just because I hadn't exercised my arms yet. My thought process was "okay if I drink a smoothie now then I can take a couple of extra hits, letting me work out my arms at least once this session".

Hopefully this sorts itself out once I've unlocked better attacks of differing colours.

I managed to do the world 1 boss today and the first level of world 2. I'm knackered now but it was worth it, I feel like I've actually excercised today and I don't feel nearly as bad as I did the days before!

some of the later worlds have 10+ stages.

Is there much impact on this? I've been running a lot recently but I'm pretty sure I have a stress fracture on my foot, so running is out for a while. Is it possible to do Ring Fit without any running actions?

Yep. There’s a silent mode which is designed for people in flats but would suit your criteria as t removes the running.

Sweet, I'll keep an eye out for stock alerts. Cheers.

5 day streak complete! This fits in to my routines so well at the moment, it's so easy to pick up for a quick 20-30 minute bash.

Got a nice mix of skills on the go now as well, although I do find myself ignoring the colour matching to make sure I get a good spread of exercises in.

Do you actually get a bonus in-game for a 5 day streak? I didn't have a go today as my legs were aching from yesterday's session but I'll be back on it tomorrow morning.

No, you get a pat on the back message but nothing tangible! Does feel nice to have the game recognise your routines though.

Geez, I finished my workout an hour ago and I'm still knackered now. How do you find and change the difficulty setting as I had a quick look before starting today but it wasn't immediately obvious. To be honest, it's probably my own fault as I went to bed late last night and got up early so I'm more than likely over-tired.

Stopped just before the final stage of World 3 today. Didn't get to try my newly acquired Warrior Pose though as the High Knee Lifts had killed me off by that point.

Also, not sure what I think to the mini-games. The squat one was fine but when I had to avoid the bombs flying overhead it was just way to sensitive and I'd hit them every time. But my God, the leaning side to side mini-game seemed to go against all known health and safety. It was lethal how quickly and accurately it wanted me to lean to avoid the bombs and collect all the coins. Definitely won't be playing that again.

Still very impressed and really happy that I bought it. I hope I can keep it up when lockdown ends.

I don't know how you do it through the menu but whenever I start Adventure mode it asks me how I found the last session and depending on how you answer it allows you to tweak the intensity setting from there.

I've enjoyed all of the mini games encountered so far - the bomb avoiding one could be a bit fiddly and the need to move quickly at times seems somewhat at odds with what feels like it should be more of a slow yoga style movement, but it's still fun!

Ah, thank you. I was looking for a big, obvious number on the screen. I might ask it to make it a little harder next time then, just to see if I can handle a step up. Don't want to push myself too hard but I don't want to coast either.

You can change the intensity in the settings but I think you can only do it in the menus not during an exercise.
