Ooh a skill tree system at level 40? Sure, I'll take that!

Has anyone found the leg strap sliding down? I've only noticed it yesterday and tried tightening it up but it gets to just above my knee at times. I don't recall having this problem when I started.

In terms of the game itself, it really is a great way to get exercising indoors. I'm enjoying the adventure aspect of it (though the downtime can be a bit long) and the exercise mode it a good way of stringing together workouts when time is short. I need to play around with the Custom exercise more to come up with some routines but I'll focus on the Adventure mode for now.

I've been playing this undocked mostly because the room with the TV in doesn't have enough space and it works fine for the most part but one of the drawbacks is that because the screen is so small I just ignore a lot of the text that comes up.

For the most part this isn't a problem as it's just nonsense that the ring is chatting or Hubby moaning about being lost etc. but I completely missed the info about the skill tree and skill points until just last night when I realised I was sat on a massive pile of points that I should have been using! :fp:

Unlocking the ability to set more skills at once was a game changer for me.

I sometimes have this problem, it's often difficult to get it tight enough that it doesn't slip but not so tight that it's uncomfortable. I also find that if I'm wearing loose shorts that I get the analog stick catching on the material which can be a pain! Nothing that can't be solved with a quick adjustment but still a tad frustrating.

Yeah I find it tricky some times to keep it in place and comfortable, its not too bad usually though. I have taken 2 days off since I got this but Im in a good routine, put the kids to bed then play a couple of levels of this. It can really get the heart pumping too, after the first full week of it I had to take a break, my abs were in bits but thankfully I dont get any pain like that now. Some exercises are gooseberry fool cos of the tracking, mountain climbers and planks are hard enough without the joy con not picking it up right. Relaly enjoying it though, the game aspect of it is just enough to keep me coming back.

I've strawberry floated off the purple side step and yellow leg scissor exercises since they randomly decide not to track some moves

100% yes. It says don’t make it too tight, but I have to have it like a tourniquet otherwise it just falls down when jogging.

All exercises which rely solely on the left joycon are pretty hit and miss I find.

I've not really had a problem with any of these to be honest, mountain climbers etc. all seem to work fine for me.

Most of the ones I have problems with are the green "yoga" type ones - the joycons just don't seem to detect the pose being held right and so I have to either do a ridiculous exaggerated version of what it is asking for or cheat by moving the joycon independently in a way that makes it actually satisfied.

Cheers for the replies - I'll keep adjusting the leg strap and tighten it up.

Regarding exercises, I'm only on world 3 but so far only had problems with the game recognising my stance for the planks exercise but that was really more to do with my form. I'm not looking forward to the mountain climbers :dread:

Yeah I was pleased at this development too!

I also thought World 5 was the best so far, and all the new traversal twists like the springs definitely enliven things (and the snap and flip of the spring is borderline-Spiderman satisfying).

I tie the strap pretty snug around my joggers (which I guess is an extra layer of padding too) and now it's pretty secure.

I'm playing on Level 26 which is fun, but also (I'm presuming this is how it works) means there a lot of reps even for grunts. This actually works to make me play it more like an RPG as I'm always trying to optimize my buffs and gear to avoid a slog.

Really impressed at how fully fleshed out this game is, and at how it keeps opening up with new spins on its core so far. Also (except for some hella-bland character design) it looks a beaut.

I've hit 31 days with this now, so thought I'd give my thoughts.

I think it's well-designed, and very smart, but I for some reason I just cannot 'love' it.

I've been playing for 30 mins a day (about 10-15 mins of exercise time), but haven't noticed any physical benefit. I do have the level quite low (just 14) so it's only a moderate workout (I'm also doing 30 mins of Fitness Boxing in the mornings).

I do find myself relying on the higher damage exercises, rather than a rounded workout. I think what might have been better would be to assign the skill slots the damage level, and to be able to put any exercise you want in those. That way you could balance your workout better.

I haven't really had any problem with lack of recognition (unlike Fitness Boxing which is much more unreliable), just the bloody leg strap falling down a lot – remedied by strapping it super-tight on my leg.

Tracked time in game should be actual exercise time, same with calories burned. I spend between 25 - 30 mins each morning and rather than whizz my way through the worlds I try and 100% them before moving on (Some haven't unlocked the last mission request at the shop on a couple of worlds) I think mines around difficulty level 19 and been working to putting the level up a notch every week/half a week. The only one I dislike is that bloody mountain climber exercise :dread:

I've ditched the adventure mode now and just use it for custom workouts - I find you get a much more intense experience without so much downtime. With 25mins of custom workouts I probably get more benefit than when I was spending twice that time on the adventure mode.

Still playing through adventure mode for about 30-45mins most days apart from the weekend and making sure to choose a varied selection of exercises. Definitely noticing the benefits in terms of my general flexibility.

I notice it in my stamina/lung capacity. I no longer fear Mountain Climbers, but squats of all variations are an absolute burner.

The heat is why I haven't played it for over a month :shifty:
