The individual workouts already have all the exercises unlocked. Adventure mode just gates them off for progression within that mode only.

And yes, it has tailored workouts. Go to "Custom" and then under "recommended" it'll group together exercises that work different parts of your body, exactly as per your examples.

The game is actually pretty customisable - I'd recommend checking out the options. I have now changed the Rings voice to Japanese as the English was really annoying me.

Excellent, I think I might end up just going through the individual workouts hitting different body parts every day.

The story mode is good but it seems to lose positioning quite often so some moves don’t register like trying to do the air blast but it doesn’t pick up that I am holding the ring up.

Love it overall tho, perfect game for these times

How annoying. I signed up to stock alerts for this on that same site and never got anything when Currys had stock.

If anyone wants to flog a copy of this, just let me know as I’m really struggling to find one. :shifty:

So today I did the custom workouts and done an upper body workout followed by ab’s and that was a lot better than going through the story mode. The range of moves the game has is great I felt great after.

Going to give the legs a go tomorrow then I’ll try and do an all over workout every week day.

Got into the bad habit of picking easy work outs in adventure mode. Need to get back on the squats to strengthen my flabby glutes.

I tried a couple of custom workouts this morning in place of adventure mode - I like that you can pepper minigames in with the "normal" exercises to keep things fresh.

I do think it falls down when it's trying to measure leg only exercises. It was very disheartening to see it tell me I was doing really poorly and barely moving my legs at all when I was killing myself doing leg-scissors exactly how the example on the left was.

Also it's annoying when you move on to the next exercise and you happen to be holding the ring con in a position where the game thinks it is exactly where it needs to be for the exercise, but it's completely wrong in the real world. Then it instantly starts the exercise completely uncalibrated and you have no way of stopping it to recalibrate and it tells you you're doing it wrong.

Both minor niggles - very happy with it so far! I'm using it every other day, alternating between this and going for a 5k run.

I've had issues with it judging my mountain-climbers poorly so I haven't bothered going to the one game gym until I've figured out how to do them so it registers them :dread: got like high 90s for everything else but my mountain climbers pulled my whole score down :x

Yeah mountain climber is one I avoid purely because we just don't get along. Struggled today getting an A rank in new game plus because of it. Usually have to drop the difficulty way down so I can just get it over with.

What could this mean?

Custom workouts are where it is at for me, i likely won't touch the story mode anymore.

in regards to the ring-con issues, i find holding it down after finishing an exercise helps to recalibrate it.

The thing about the story mode is that it feels like there's a bit too much downtime between the actual exercising. It is fun though.

Just put a preorder in at Amazon France (Available mid-April) . Hopefully delivery won't be an issue, but others seem to say theirs have arrived.

my current routine is

Day 1 - Upper Body, ab's
Day 2 - Legs, ab's

Doing that 3 times a week for each and rest on a Sunday. Each session lasts around 30 mins and i'm going for a walkf for a few miles every day so i'll keep in some shape for when i can get back to the gym again.

Do and of you guys bother with the yoga poses?

Yeah I do a few of them! Think it's good for my flexibility (which is terrible). Find it really hard to squat while keeping my feet flat.

Can squat absolutely fine on my tiptoes though!
