I haven't heard about any of this, though as I told you, I don't watch their live streams, just listen to the podcasts and reviews.

This weeks group stream is possibly the best one they've ever done. I find they're good to watch while I'm doing other gooseberry fool.

To anybody who follows these guys more than I do...have they said anything about doing more with their Game Sleuth and Retrospectives shows? They've done a couple of token entries but otherwise seem to be focusing more on streaming and adding ever-more podcasts.

The 3rd game slueth just needs to be edited. Damiani has handed the script and stuff over to Brandon. Damiani was talking about it on a live stream the other day.

Brad Ellis is writing a Souls Retrospective, finished most of the footage he had said, the timeframe for release is Summer 2017.

Go to 38.20 in the Cup of Jones from 16 April. He basically addresses this exact question.

Retrospectives take a long time to produce and they don't want to tell people about them too far in advance. They were only ever a rare production back on GT though so I wouldn't expect any different here. Like Miguel says above, a Souls Retro is coming.

Gamesleuth is the odd one. I just get the sense Damiani doesn't want to do it anymore, which given how different a place the internet is for gaming compared to when he started Pop Fiction, I can understand why. Danny O'Dwyer has been talking about it in his mystery series with noclip. Basically the atmosphere to foster these gaming myths doesn't really exist anymore with the internet having the answer to everything within 5 minutes of a games release. You'd never get something like the Masterhand being playable in Smash as such a surprisingly true myth. That said Damiani is guilty of flitting about onto different projects and just doing random stuff that's obviously easier to produce than a Gamesleuth. That Story Time thing came and went (definitely for the best), he started doing the Zelda Talk podcast and now the Nintendo podcast too. I get why, just sitting down and talking for an hour is a very simple production and potentially more fun than the research and capture that has to go into a Gamesleuth. However people are paying for Gamesleuth as a higher priority than those other things so you'd think they should be a devoting more resource to getting it out speedier. I think Damiani did about an 8 hour Nier stream the other day, which seems rather excessive. I'm not sure if anything is going to change though, Jones basically just apologised and said they would be better at communicating stuff in the future. You can see where managing all this stuff as a Patreon becomes a nightmare.

They have gone a bit overkill on the podcasts
Main Podcast
Frame Trap
EZAnime
Zelda Talk
Friend Code
Reaction Shots

Damiani does want to game slueth, he was talking about it on a live stream, the other week, I asked about it and he started saying that it's taking so much longer because he is doing it all by himself and when he was doing pop fiction there were other people helping, he also had times where he'd work only on Pop Fiction and nothing else. Where as with EZA he has to do other stuff, like reviews, lives stream and podcasts. It's not that he doesn't want to do it. It's more than they don't have the same budget to do it as well at GT did.

Ah fair enough, I just figured if he was that keen we'd have had more episodes by now.

I do wonder if he could take some shortcuts for the sake of time saving though, the stuff he had to do for that GTA one :dread: While the fact they do this all themselves and get decent footage is what makes the shows so good, when the answer was already known, I would be like 'strawberry float that'

This week's group stream is the best in a long while; Don's Design Challenge, they split into two teams to make a Super Mario Maker Level but they only have 30 minutes each to design the level based around a theme. Then the other team must play each other's level with Don deciding on the winner. This should be a regular thing as its great to watch. Plus Don's Outro at the end is just amazing

Kyle Bosman’s new show ‘Box Peek’ has been teased for Easy Allies, it’s got me hyped for a show I didn’t know I wanted

It’s got an Anime meets Nintendo Labo feel, with great theme by Ian Hinck and Brandon Jones I think.

The first episode of Box Peek is going to air at their two year anniversary concert stream this Sunday.

Meanwhile, everyone should watch another Bosman invention, The Hall of Greats streams, they're so good. The actual fact of nominating discussing and voting on what they think are the greatest games of all time is incidental to the human drama they go through each time they do it. The discussion of the games and the rebuttals gets so salty that most times I watch I'm gripped and peering through my fingers just waiting for someone to flip out over the passive aggression. It may sound stupid but it is staggeringly compelling.

And if that side of things doesn't float your boat you can also watch just to hear some genuinely braindead arguments as to why something should or shouldn't get in and them prounouncing stuff in really dumb ways. Just last night Huber was prounouncing 'Plague' as 'Pleg' and Jones said Sticky Widget instead of Sticky Wicket.

They're all great but last night's was particularly vintage.

Hall of Greats Streams are amazing, held every so often makes them more special. Don's presentations always crack me up and his videos are legit awesome!

I hope they keep the same format for years to come, Box Peek HYPE for Sunday.

SomeGameNews YT Channel did a April Fool pranking the best of EZA 2017 but swopped it for the best of the end of GameTrailers.

Adult Humour and F-Bombs all over; I miss Elyse Willems and this type of humour. Shows how much EZA is playing it safe.

Everyone just taking the piss out of each other; amazing!

Thanks for sharing the above Miguel. That was strawberry floating great. EasyA are great, but they really could do with recruiting some diversity - anyone other than another white dude.
