The C64 version was awful. I actually had a big box copy. It was impossible. Never finished the first level.

Control of the Detroit Police Department is given to the Omni Consumer Products corporation in an attempt to restore order. You are that solution, RoboCop, a cyborg tasked with protecting the city.

#RoboCopRogueCity will be coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Delayed to September.

Shame about the delay from June to September although, tbh, I checked out the vid and thought it looked pretty basic; not really a fifty-quid-odd game at this point. Maybe a bit of additional development time and polish will help.

Thought you would like that Jawa, the shooting looks about as refined as Fallout 3 (complete with the bloody mess perk).

Looks like a decent enough AA offering, no doubt it'll get 7/10s across the board. From what little I heard of the gameplay I would say that Murphy's Auto9 handgun sounded far too weak, nothing like the handcannon we see in the films.

The ZX Spectrum version of Robocop was one of the best of any 8-bit game and the music was nothing short of fantastic.

I purchased the GB version around ten years ago, just to be able to play that track on the original GB. *So* good.

Also worth mentioning here, the Robocop 3 theme on the C64 is outstanding:

I heard Terminator Resistance was quite good but that looks pretty crap.

This'll play fine and give a nice dollop of RoboCop-ness in my opinion. The £45 price tag can get in the bin though.

I'd buy that for 10 dollars!

The robocop theme playing and the handgun are a winning combination. Not sure how I feel about the other random weapons.

The demo is currently on steam. Not sure if they'll do a console demo

I'm downloading it now. I'm below the min specs for it so I'm expecting below 30fps in all honesty which will make me feel slightly better for not buying it :lol:

Was able to squeeze in 10 minutes of the demo last night before bed.

Walking into a hallway, seeing the perps get highlighted by your hud then just taking out the gun and wiping them out, all while the Robocop theme plays in the background is pretty strawberry floating sweet.

Whether it hold up beyond that I can't say, but I'm probably gonna spend more time with it later.

EDIT: I will say that if it's anything like their Terminator game, it'll be pure AA fun. Probably a bit sloppy and frayed around the edges, but with a solid game underneath. That's what I'm hoping.

Smiled like a loon through what I played of the demo :msgreen:

I forgot how much I loved what a good duo Robo and Lewis are.

It err does however run like crap regardless of hardware, the stutters are horrific :simper:

Hopefully they can implement shader precompilation in the final release. I suspect it'll still have typical Unreal Engine traversal stutters but hopefully the shader related ones can be stomped out

This came up on Twitter last week, I never clocked this before but did you know the GB version of the theme was used in the old Ariston adverts?
