We have the movie news thread, but this deserves its own for GR to discuss, the possibilty of Rocky 7, Stallone seems to think so
http://www.movietribune.com/news/sylvester-stallone-working-on-rambo-5-and-rocky-7/With “The Expendables” finishing up production, Sylvester Stallone will be headed to the set of “Rambo V: The Savage Hunt”. In this rendition, Rambo battles a genetically created “feral beast” when an elite team fails to stop its rampage. As soon as Rambo wraps up, it seems he’d be taking on “Rocky 7”.
Tele5 Germany’s conversation with Stallone, he reveals his seventh take on the revival of his iconic role Rocky. “I know I’ll probably make a fool of myself if I make another ‘Rocky’ film after turning 60,” said Stallone, who is now 63 years old.
Despite his wife and kids disappointment for his return to his classic role, he hopes to evolve it into something deeper and more personal. “I would laugh about it. But I also know that I’d be successful if I can make this a film about becoming older, not about boxing but about myself. Even my wife says, ‘Don’t do it. You’re embarrassing the kids’. But I told her, ‘If I don’t try I’ll be a really unhappy man.’ You have to do it. Artists like me have to go through the dark over and over again.”
With the previous 2006 “Rocky Balboa” earning $155 million on a $24 million budget, hopes are high that if these rumors are true, “Rocky 7” would also hit a huge wave of success in late 2010 or early 2011.
