If you've sold things on eBay and they've been lost, or you've posted Christmas gifts etc then you can claim for losses here: https://personal.help.royalmail.com/app ... ims-centre

If you have sent it regular 1st/2nd class it will be insured up to £20 per letter/parcel. You will need "proof of postage" though, which you get if you ask for it when posting.

If you've insured the item then you'll be covered up to the value you insured it for.
