That doesn't even make sense, Wales have the third place playoff Friday.

I you want revenge, just causally remind him he may have to get a new England replica shirt, as only having one world cup icon on the sleeve will show it's out of date, thus outing him as the casual fair weather rugby pov he truly is.

God strawberry floating damn there is some salt at work today.

Apparently England weren't actually good against new Zealand.

What?!

I'd argue that it's the performance of the tournament so far, by any team.

You know when someone is upset and they're trying not to lose their temper, so you hear the adrenaline in their voice. It was said like that. For the record, nobody has ripped in to Wales at all so far, it was when a general discussion about the game started.

Great results over the weekend :datass:

I didn't expect the Eng-NZ match to be so...comfortable. Only when NZ scored did I feel a bit concerned, but otherwise England seemed in total control. A monumental performance. Bring on SA. :toot:

Nah it was gooseberry fool m8, and the only reason Wales lost is because SA bored them to death.

I'd argue it's one of the all time performances of all World Cups.

I'm a huge Welsh fan but sometimes the attitude towards England is just embarrassing :fp:

England were outstanding. NZ will demonstrate their might against Wales in the 3rd place playoff, unfortunately.

Yep. Expecting a big score. NZ will be up for proving a point. Wales will still be in pieces. Emotionally and physically.

Doesn't really matter though.

Some saltiness is to be expected, but try to keep it vaguely in the realms of reality!

Most people I chatted to yesterday were pretty sensible in their commentary, although I did get told by one Welsh lad that "they had done well and were punching well above their weight" ... to which I pointed out that they were ranked either 1 or 2 in the world for most of the year in the run up to the tournament. He didn't like that! :slol:

The saltiness for Welsh fans comes from how annoying we find the English when they win.

This is of course with zero self awareness, given how annoying us Welsh fans are when we win

I agree. If England werent so strawberry floating smug it would be easier to swallow.
Matt Dawson is a prime example.

At least this year England have been the best side and its not all down to one player like 2003.

I didn't get any sense of smugness from the England camp.

Pundits maybe, media usually, but you can't hold that against the team.
