Haven't been here since the semi out of despair. But I just wanted to say, that Welsh people being twats towards the English in the final can all do one. Spiteful gits.

Sarries to be docked 35 points and £5m, for breaching salary cap.

This would leave them on -26 points.

Sounds harsh but a slap on the wrist really, theyll miss out on European competition for next season probably but thats about it. Theyll be back in it the season after and it will be like nothing ever happened.

I don’t think it’s harsh enough. It covers the past 3 years? They won 2 titles in that time, surely they should be stripped of those if they broke the salary cap?

Yeah I don’t get why they wouldn’t be stripped of any titles won in the period.

Yeah that seems a bit tame all things considered. 35 points isn't even likely to get them relegated.

I think I read 2008/09 was the last time it would have relegated them.

I think they're looking to ringfence the Premiership and get rid of relegation when Newcastle come back up so they probably don't want to relegate them anyway.

Yeah thats been talked about for a long time, rumours abound that theyre waiting to get the "right" set of clubs in the premiership and then ring fence, it makes sense to be honest. I get the romance of promotion and relegation but rugby doesnt have the same level of support as soccer so ring fencing is a better option in the long run.

I would be very surprised if the strip the titles from Saracens, they should, they were found guilty of cheating and were handed the maximum penalty, letting them keep the trophies seems foolish after that. I had this chat with someone at work this morning, theres really no punishment severe enough short of liquidating the club. Demoting them to championship just means they spend a season bashing championship clubs, then back to the premiership and then back to the european cup. It would have to be several years out in the cold to actually be a punishment of substance.

They've renamed the main gate to the Principality Millenium Stadium, "Gatland's Gate".

Lovely gesture

Seriously though, it's nice they're not just going to pretend he didn't exist like I suspect a few other teams may have done.
