Decent match this, Wales putting the pressure on.

I thought exactly the same; my father-in-law and I both kinda laughed then said “he needs to be careful there really, the pundits aren’t handling this very well, let’s see what Thomas says...” who then immediately jokes that he wished it happened more when he was playing. :fp:

How long has North spent unconscious this tournament?

Edit: Oh gooseberry fool, red card.

Something that really strawberry floats me off about this England team is their incessant desire to give away needless penalties. Play smarter, FFS.

By the letter of the law, that's a red. It's kind of a glancing blow, but rules are rules.

Not sure why that was a Red. England's defence is incredible, Wales' shocking. That's the difference.

No Sean Edwards. That’s the difference. Looking forward to Scotland v France tomorrow....

England not giving a float about that last try really.

A very flattering score line for Wales. They feel like a squad who just haven't quite clicked into place, which I guess is normal under new coaches and strategy, but the world cup seedings are coming up this year, and it would be nice not to end up out of the top 8 like in 2015's seeding.

I know he's a folk hero to the Welsh fans but I strawberry floating despise Jonathan Davies. Every single word out of his mouth is either smug, petulant or farcically incorrect.

Matt Dawson is obviously still several billion degrees worse, but let's not compare apples to Matt Dawson.

England played well in patches. However, they played with zero intelligence for most of the game. Should have been heads down looking for that fourth try bonus point. Instead they decided to prat about for the last twenty.

Prat about? They were solidly defending a Wales onslaught. It took Wales the best part of 15 minutes to get over the Try line for try number two. England's resilience was what won them the game.

Would love to know what's prompted this, given that Jiffy's not even on the ITV coverage.

Yeah, I wondered that. I presume he was doing radio commentary??

Because I listened to it driving home from the Chiefs match.

I'd add you to the list of "Welsh banana splits" if you weren't from Birmingham.

Seriously though Knoy, I'm sure we had this conversation last year (and probably prior years). If he was English he'd never be allowed as a pundit but because his stock in trade is a) praising the Welsh and b) ripping on England he's praised as a propah ledge. Grim.

I’m a big England fan but I can’t say I have a problem with Mr Jiffy. He’s just passionate about Wales, what’s the problem? I don’t take it that seriously!!

Yeah, I'm sure we have. He's irritating to listen to one he's got a bee in his bonnet about something, because he just won't drop it, and basically gets in a strop if it doesn't change in the match, like he thinks the players are listening to him. Brian Moore is as bad at this, going on and on endlessly about feeds at the scrum not being straight like anyone's even listening.

No issue with his pro Welsh bias, but honestly, he's as quick as anyone to stick the knife in if they're making basic errors.

Brian Moore is a massive bellend for sure but at least he's got a point about scrum feeds. And bloody lineouts while we're at it.

Allow me my graceful transition from bitter young man to bitter old man.
