I have had to get up at 6:30 this morning, on a Saturday, to go to Kyoto with my girlfriend and her Mum. Her Mum doesn't speak English which means I have to speak Japanese. We are going to a traditional Japanese restaurant around 6pm, which is when the game starts. Wonder how many toilet breaks and sneaky glances at the BBC Sport app I can manage.

What's more annoying is that last week I went out with friends to watch the semi final, and after the try a minute in, we all started desperately making hopeful plans for the final. There was that moment of sheer anticipation before it was destroyed by thse crushing realisation that I had already made plans.

How can we go from ease past New Zealand and then struggle against South Africa.

Come on England, kick it through the big sticks. Or score a touchdown.

What we seem to be making a load of basic errors. A lot of poor passes. Admittedly we made those kinds of mistakes in our early games but we looked so good against New Zealand.

Occasional moments of intent from England, but there are so many basic handling mistakes in the game that just weren't there last week. South Africa looking more threatening on the run than they did last week, as well.
