PC release is "negotiable."

Will still get it if not, but the quality gap between dark souls and the sequel is quite wide. Bloodborne makes both look pretty average imo.

For me, we need better graphics, more interesting enemies and environments as well as clever shortcuts, which the sequel lacked badly!

How does Bloodborne make Dark Souls 1 look average?

Bloodborne is just so much more fun to play and doesn't feel a chore - I guess it is down to personal preference. Dark Souls with Bloodborne graphics will do me and I accept the first Dark Souls is a lot better than the sequel. The character in the second one seems to move on thin air most of the time and is just not creative.

All said it is still a top game and one that beats most of the crap that is released. I must get the PS4 version to see if it better in 1080P.

I'm confident Miyazaki isn't directing this.

Loved the BB setting, can't get on with the souls games at all. :fp:

DARK SOULS 3 ART CONFIRMS 'EARLY 2016' RELEASE

Following previous rumors suggesting the still unannounced Dark Souls 3 would release in 2016, IGN has obtained a Dark Souls 3 promotional image for E3 narrowing the release window.

The unreleased, official art below displays an armored hero covered tattered cloth and flames, as well as the suggested launch frame of "Early 2016."

This follows an earlier rumor that Dark Souls 3 would appear at E3, the video game industry trade show happening June 16-18, 2015, and later launch on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. We've contacted publisher Bandai Namco for additional information.

That marketing material looks kinda fake, tbh. With that said, I would assume IGN would have done follow ups to ensure it's genuine. Right?

Right?

I thought the character in the picture was giving a thumbs up at first.

*Update** A follow-up press release from Bandai Namco's European arm has let slip that Dark Souls 3 will be the last game in the series: '“The DARK SOULS brand became a phenomenon thanks to amazing work from our dear partners FromSoftware and our very own BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment teams”. said Herve Hoerdt, Vice President of Marketing & Digital at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe. “But above all, we are blessed to have such a supportive and loving community, and we are happy to dedicate this final episode to them!”' The press release also confirms that original Dark Souls and Bloodborne director Hidetaka Miyazaki is indeed directing DS3.

Intersting. Personally, I think it's time for them to move on to new IP. I'm almost burnt out on the current formula.

Bloodborne shows there is life after Dark Souls and if this really is the final one then kudos for them for not killing the franchise with yearly updates.
