Old Demon King down :datass:

I was getting my arse kicked with his flames so I finally decided to equip a shield and go for light attacks rather than two handed. Now I was rolling straight through flames that were flooring me before. Got him on my second go after that.

pontiff sulyvahn down :datass: That was really tough, had to summon help in the end if only to distract him in the second half of the fight.

The next bit, was clearing an area nicely then these two splits show up with purple weapons and absolutely spank me :x

I think I might be done. I've just got bosses to fight and I'm just feeling a bit burnt out on the game.

The Profaned Capital boss is really easy when you work out what you're meant to be doing, which to be fair is pretty obtuse. I had to look that up.

I'll be totally honest though, there is definitely a marked step up in difficulty from that point onwards. It's incredibly rewarding to get through, but it does require a lot of patience from the player.

I take bar the DLC, my only current way forward is the bit I'm in now?

Are you in that place that's a major spoiler? If so, yes, the game opens up again just after that.

EDIT - actually, have you been through Irythyll Dungeon yet?

I don't think so, I'm just behind the pontiff boss area and in a large area with some giants

Ok, I've probably said too much already.

Carry on that way for a bit before anyone says anything. Irythyll Dungeon is an alternate route, you know outside Irythyll when you go through that river bit outside? There's two paths, one through a sewer that takes you back around to the PS boss fight, the other has a bonfire and goes through the dungeon.

Souls splits. :x

I also had it spoiled for me. I imagine it was quite something for original Dark Souls players to first walk into. There are still some great moments in that area so there should still be some wow factor for you.

So I've totally stopped playing DS3 but a friend of mine was wondering about the levelling. I totally haven't played a bit tonight. Didn't kill any giants, honestly. He's mainly using strength weapons but is wondering how he should prioritise he's levelling.

I just beat the pontif. I ended up summoning a couple of NPC's and they basically destroyed him very quickly.

The Pontiff was a great fight. I ended up soloing him, but it was a toughie.

It was a good one. Having a little rest from this to play something a lot more chilled out but I will return soon.

Done 14 hours on this so far. Bloody. Awesome. Not sure if it'll be better than Bloodborne but it's very enjoyable.

Using a knight with sword and shield and liking the fact I can block attacks.

Wish my image sig would work
