Sounding really good. With the different types of machines maybe there will be a gracious set of strategies depending on the situation.

There is certainly an incredible amount of potential, regarding take-down strategies, but I get the feeling that that potential will not be realized. It'll all be, "Shoot x pieces off the machines, different pieces for different machines, then hit the weak point for MASSIVE DAMAGE."

Apparently this is open world and trading between clans is a big feature of the game

Guerrilla freaked out when concept art leaked. They were worried about how people would react to seeing "Vikings riding a strawberry floating T-Rex."

:slol: What a thing to be worried about!

:fp: Sony weren't sure about female protagonist.

The game runs on a modified Shadow Fall engine. So yeah, at least something good has come out of that pile of hot rubbish. *casts line for a Maf*

I remember reading about how Dontnod (of Life is Strange fame) had real trouble pitching Remember Me because companies didn't want to know once they mentioned that their new IP had a female protagonist.

The Origins & World Of Horizon Zero Dawn

Horizon Zero Dawn was one of the games that got gamers buzzing at E3. Its mix of primitive man and animal-like machines in the distant future caught fire with our imaginations. We saw the game behind-closed-doors, which yielded additional info about the game not seen in its official trailer, but we also talked to Guerrilla Games' Mathijs de Jonge (game director) and Mark Norris (senior producer). The pair divulged even more about Horizon, from its creation to the some of the nuts and bolts of its gameplay.

I don't think Sony have bought the exclusive rights to the entire genre of art.

strawberry float me but some people are so dense :slol: There's some div over on GAF who "isn't sure" about this because... the dev has only shown a limited number of robo dinos, and he's wondering if they'll be enough to fill the game world. :fp:

Guerrilla will be at Gamescom, but I think it's just to show the E3 demo to a new, live crowd:

Turnabout is fair play seeing as HZD will itself be imitating other games and or their features.
