Any tips for fighting Thunderjaws or Rockbreakers? I've tried throwing everything I had at them but it just seems completely fruitless.

Also I wandered into an area full of machines way more numerous and aggressive than usual and Aloy put it best when a really pissed off Stormbird turned up as she voiced exactly what I was thinking "I don't think I'm supposed to be here".

For Rockbreakers keep your distance and take out feet so it can't go underground.

And Thunderjaws just use a tearbreaker or tear arrows, take out the launchers on its legs and guns on it face then aim for the radar on its back. Use it's own disc launchers on it which can deal a good amount of damage.

The rope that holds them in place is amazing. Works wonders on large birds too. I normally use a triple arrow slow mo shot of the exploding tear arrows at the larger enemies. Pretty much strips them of most of their armour.

Done everything apart from the main story now. Level 50 so should be no problem.

Cant get the armour though as glitched out of the starting area and both gates are locked

Where do you find the second power cell to unlock that armour?

EDIT: Never mind, I googled it and realise there's more than just 2 cells now.

I think I'll be using my free £10 PSN credit in April from the current "spend £50 in March get £10 in April" offer to put towards this. I preordered it on the day it was announced but cancelled it a couple of months before release as I knew I'd have too many games still to complete.

But I have read this thread regularly since release and it sounds sooooo good I'm going to succumb I just know it!

It's all your fault. All of you. Especially you reading this. Bastards

Spent about 4 hours today looking for random items, the odd side quest and hunting. Really enjoyable now Im getting to know what each creature is weak too.

I'll push on tomorrow and see if I can get further into the main quest.

Still not a fan of resource inventory screen. But I'm getting used to it. Going to hunt thunder jaws tomorrow too as they always drop 3 very rare items so hopefully I'll get some better mods. Watched a YouTube video on easy taken downs too. Basically 15 trip wires next to each other and boom!

A few things the sequel needs:

Grappling hook for rodeo of the Trex and more.
Crossbows for quick short range combat
Better human enemies and specific hit zones on the body
An upgradable home base like Jurassic Park where enemies can be captured and studied.
Rare robots with unique powers and loot
Fish robots which you can pull onto land
Evolving enemies based on an Eco system, kill off one type of enemy and the next level down become the Apex predators and evolve
Online co op and safari mode, basically monster hunter

And finished.

Still a lot of side missions to do though.

Overall, a very enjoyable game which has some of the best environments ever seen in gaming. The final wasn't as strong as I had hoped but it was well put together.

I'm going to keep playing and get as much out of the game as I can as it's a brilliant world and the hunting is a joy.

It's a game that really has a confidence about it, some amazing creature designs and a very well realised world.

I'm currently 10% into this and it's a long way to go. :D

Has anyone tried to run Spotify while playing the game ?

For me it doesn't work as it thinks playing the game is a blocked scene all the time.

Is the Plat easy? I don't like the hunting lodge missions and was hoping you don't have to do them to get the Plat.

Yep affraid you do need to do them and get all 15 blazing suns.

Apart from that its easy but most of your game time will be hunting down collectables and sidequests

After finishing this I have a couple of burning questions,

1: Why was Rost cast out?

2: How come Aloy never questioned the fact that Sylens had glowing blue bits presumably cybernetics all over his body?

3: Did dialogue choices actually have any impact on the game?
