So where's best bet for an early copy you think then? Forgot I hadn't pre-ordered and the basic version is £60 strawberry floating notes on PSN.

ShopTo aren't getting more stock till Wednesday and the Game Collection aren't dispatching more till Monday apparently, so I'd avoid them.

The final trailer is absolutely amazing, feels like such an event of a game. It's loaded with spoilers though so best avoided as it shows a huge amount of things not yet revealed.

Wish my image sig would work

Are Amazon shipping this early then? I've got some vouchers I could use that would bring it down to £20 but don't want to get it from them if they're sticking to the date!

People are saying they got it early, but the website still says 10th.

I ordered from there earlier in the week in the "oohh might get it early" stages of the news it was shipping early. Thinking of cancelling now. Seems unessential to pressure the post service with

Yeah doesn't feel like priority 1 to get someone to bring this to my door right now.

So people are super mad about the changes made to the game they've seen in the full release.

Big spoilers, obviously:

Like actually huge:

The most obvious is the time travelling Sephiroth. Apparently he's from an alternative universe, not even ruling out Kingdom Hearts, and is time travelling to alter events in the story like trying to kill Barrett early. Cloud et al fight him in Midgar, like in Advent Children. Zack survives the ambush outside Midgar. Time portals exist. It seems everything after the escape from Midgar is going to be fresh. It's not a touch up remake, it's a "the only thing we kept are general character designs" remake

Man, I am SO strawberry floating ON BOARD WITH THIS! It's going to be so dumb!

I simply refuse to believe that any of that is true.

You can accept this fate, or defy it. But you can not deny it.

To clarify a little with some cutscenes I've seen:

The ghosts that we saw in the trailers and the like are basically retcon dementors who go around and try to stop the game branching out. Like when Reno fights Cloud in the church, Cloud is about to kill him, but ghosts push him and Aerith out of the church so they have to follow the path in the original. Hojo is about to tell Cloud that he wasn't in SOLDIER and was actually one of his experiments in Midgar instead of way later in the Northern Crater, but the ghosts push him out of the room before he can finish. Eventually the party decide that the original game is the bad timeline, so kill the time ghosts and try and solve the rest of the Sephiroth issue differently.

Also, hi, Zack, do you want in on this Advent Children fight, too?

We are NOT allowed off Genius Nomumbo's Wild Ride.

I legitimately can't wait. It sounds too dumb to not be perfect.

Probably because they wouldn't get any in stock before release date.

The slums and looking up to the plate is just ridiculously gorgeous

5ish hours in, a lot of extra story and areas on the original up to this point. Just starting mission for Mako Reactor 5.

All the reimagined music is superb.

So good.
