I'm currently four hours into this and still in Chapter Three. Did some side quests and it's truly great! Embarrassed to say, it's my first proper Final Fantasy game! :fp:

The graphics are brilliant and looks stunning too. The best thing is the time of loading! From the boot up to the gameplay from where you last saved, just like under 10-15 seconds

I played it on ps4 and it was the first game I finished on ps5 last week, the difference in load times is really nice :D The game was already stunning on ps4 and I didnt see much improvement graphics wise on the ps5 in graphics mode, maybe my eyes are not able to pick up subtle graphical changes anymore but I much preferred playing it in performance mode as it still looked stunning but was much more immersive.

One word of advice, once you get the deadly dodge materia (which I believe you get in the first hours of the game) equip it immediately on cloud, as it makes him much more effective in combat.

I bought the yuffie dlc over the weekend and played a couple of hours on that.

Be honest though, The combat and nostalgia factor saves this game for me, I think in the process of adding length to the game, they made it much more linear and shallow I dont really enjoy the way they went around doing this.

Is the Yuffie DLC PS5 only?

No, you can buy it on its own for PS4. £15.99 or £19.99 I'm not sure.

The PS5 version comes with DLC.

Thanks. I thought I saw it was PS5 only.

Whats the playtime like on it, anyone that's finished it?

Is it not PS5 exclusive? I'm sure I saw that too.

Yeah everything I read says it's PS5 exclusive.
And the PS Store webpage lists PS5 only and doesn't list PS4

I finished this yesterday... in 6 hours. Id say wait for the sales unless you are really invested in the story. The cutscenes at the end of the dlc do leave a couple of cliffhangers open for immagiantion on what remake pt 2 (ort whatever it will be called) will offer, but for game time its absolutely not worth 15.99, even at 9.99 its an ask imo

The dance off?

That trophy is a pain in the ass to get.

But not as painful as the pull up challenge. That guy is a beast. The true boss of the game!

Oh I got it in second attempt in the dance off.

I've also managed to do the squat as well. Simple enough.

Which is the harder one the squats or the pull ups? I think I did both of them if I recall correctly - it was a right pain the ass though I remember that much!

They did some fun things with the Wall Market section but it's not up there with the original version for me. It's a section that kind of encapsulates a lot of what held back the Remake for me - it's padded out in a lot of unhelpful ways and at the same time it fails to recapture the unique tone that the original had

It’s the pull ups that is hell. That gym leader is a beast and all I get as a reward is a champion belt which isn’t that good later on.

Completed.

I have never played any Final Fantasy games but it was my first time to complete it and I thought it was brilliant. :o

Part Two here I come when it's finally released.
