It harkens back to the time when lens flare was in every game because it was the fancy new visual effect consoles could do.

Still can’t believe the ME3 MP isn’t in this. Disgrace.

Apparently this is a Unreal Engine 3 release, just like the original games, so hopefully we won't get any unforeseen issues on release which cause it to have meme worthy glitches.

Exactly. All flash and no subtlety.

I only ever played ME 3 and it was just fine, nothing really that special imo. But will give this collection a go, it'll be interesting see how much they imporve the orginal ME.

Yep.

As for playing it for the first time. You are in for a treat. They are brilliant. I replayed them a few years ago and 1 especially shows it’s age, but still enjoyable.

Will all three games will be on one disk or will it be a 2 disk set?

Those comparisons in the latest video reflect really badly on the remaster IMO - why is the lighting so washed out on the new version? It loses all of the dynamics of the originals, the contrast between light and shade etc.

Yeah, that doesn't look right at all. I'd even go as far to say the original comparisons look better.

Do you guys have brightness on your displays super high or something?

The entire trailer the original looked super dark and one tone to me where as the remaster looked more natural

There are definitely issues with the original and ways in which it could be meaningfully improved, but the new version seems to be using some kind of global illumination that has completely washed out the image in many cases which as I say makes it lose the dynamics and look much more flat

Guess I'm in the minority then.

I prefer the new look to having every scene look like it's lit by candle light

There are definitely some scenes that look better, some of the stuff on the Citadel suits this more diffuse lighting style (although even there it looks like it washes out some detail and material effects) but other areas I think are worse off for it.
