I just told my wife that joke and she said "even your dad would be ashamed of a joke like that".

Joke's on you - Stannahs attach to the stairs only, not the wall.

Just turn your stairs into an escalator. Everyone loves escalators.

Maybe old news but NateDrake also rowing back -

I'm now of the belief that Starfield is not happening & the info spread around was pure fiction. I'll own the miss.

Tom Warren now on his Indy piece re-iterating that he never said it was coming to PS5, only considered. Tom Henderson says people from xbox were surprised by the extent of the rumours.

Next week’s business update event will consist solely of Phil Spencer walking onto the stage and belming.

Googled ‘Belming’ and I’m none the wiser…

This week has been something of a PR nightmare for them. I'm not sure why they haven't just come out and denies the rumours!

The silly neighbourhood vegetable.

Hmmn... the rumours sounded rather far-fetched and maybe it's gonna turn out that way. Perhaps we will see one or two Xbox games coming to other systems, but probably not a vast swathe.

Technically they didn’t announce anything, not their fault people lost their minds.

I think it will be smaller games, ‘HiFi Rush, Grounded, Pentiment’ and Sea of Thieves and thats a GAAS anyway but incredible imo.

SoT’s is not FTP it will be full price.

We’ll know soon.

Pure Xbox wrote:There have been some pretty wild claims so far, but apparently, nothing is "set in stone" according to Insider Gaming's owner Tom Henderson.

He has been speaking to a "few folk" at Xbox, and the team is apparently "very surprised" at the extent of the current rumours, as other than a few games (Hi-Fi RUSH and Sea Of Thieves) potentially being released on other platforms, nothing else has been "set in stone". Here's what he had to say:

"Make of this what you will, but speaking with a few folk over there, they [xbox] was very surprised at the extent of the "rumours" because nothing was set in stone apart from Hi-Fi and SoT from what I've gathered.

"Honestly sounds like for the most part it's been a prime example of Chinese whispers or people just making s*** up to capitalise off the hysteria. It will be interesting to see what is said because the rumours seem to be fueling decisions that might need more time in the oven so to speak.
"

This is gonna end up being much ado about nothing, isn't it?

EDIT: Although, if this is the case, wouldn't it have been easier for Xbox to have quickly come out and said so; to head off this escalation?

This is like when PLAY magazine put Time Crisis 2 on the cover all over again and said it was definitely coming to PlayStation 1 because of "sources".

Yet, we’ve got a whole load of fanboys getting emotive about nothing. It’s really silly.

Perhaps there was a rumour somewhere, perhaps some big cheeses were dead set against, perhaps the reaction has caused a reaction? All very strange

Maybe they wanted to let the rumours spread to get a sense of public opinion? Save them a fortune in focus groups...

That’s the only thing I can put this down to, hence the non dismissal. But when does a company of this size leave that much cash on the table and listen to some very vocal but irrelevant influencers?
