Xbox Video podcast. 4 unknown games coming to other platforms. No fundamental change to our approach on exclusivity.

I LOVED that game, and it was the first thing I played on my One X after being out of the Xbox scene post 360.

Even by SWERY standards it's...… wacky.

Wasn’t expecting a podcast to be the format, keen to hear what they have to say though.

Sources familiar with Microsoft’s plans tell The Verge that the company is getting ready to launch a select number of Xbox games on PS5 and Nintendo Switch. Weeks of rumors suggest that Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves, and even Bethesda titles like Starfield and Indiana Jones could appear on non-Xbox platforms.

The first two games that are set to appear on rival consoles are Hi-Fi Rush and Pentiment, according to sources. Microsoft is also currently planning to launch Sea of Thieves on non-Xbox platforms later this year, with other first-party titles also under consideration.

If it means more people get to play Pentiment, which was probably my GOTY 2022, then I’m all for it. That game deserves more love.

If it's Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Grounded and Sea of Thieves then that really is nothing big.

If they leave the entire library to a 'case by case' basis then that will be horrendous.

If money from these games are made to make sequels/improvements on these games it's fine.

They need to be very clear on the exclusive question though. Even if it's timed.

Sea of Thieves is 6 years old, if that's the timeline they use or at least 5 years timed exclusive then that's pretty substantial.

I also think they should hint heavily about new hardware (spencer has been liking tweets about portable Xbox for past few weeks now).

If it moves away from Day one on GP it will be BAD, they also should let us know when Acti/Blizz games hit gamepass (if ever).

If day one stuff moves away from Game Pass then it loses its biggest thing it has going for it. I'd probably just cancel mine and be a lot more selective of what I buy outright rather than subbing to GPU.

I think there might be an Activision drop on Game Pass on Thursday to soften the blow. They need to highlight the advantage of owning an Xbox, if people see everything coming to PlayStation then why would you buy one?

I genuinely don't think I like any Activision games. Not since Guitar Hero anyway.

But yeah, it would be huge for a lot of people.

Sekiro is the main one I'm waiting for, but I do like playing through the odd Call of Duty campaign.

I see what you did there!

But yes, maybe not in numbers, but that would be a promising line-up for me! Hi-Fi Rush is one of my most wanted of recent years on xbox, while Obsidian and Rare are two of the xbox studios I'm most interested in games from.
