Actually quite sad.

I saw some news item about a special coat for dogs that has a vibration function so they feel like they are being petted which reassured them.

This made me sad earlier, poor thing.

I'm fairly lucky that Loki is so chilled out that we've got pictures of him asleep on the floor while a fireworks display is going off across the back from last year, but my cat isn't so chill and has been jumping around the house every time a firework goes off this past week.

Another reason why fireworks should be limited to public displays really. A lot of public displays aren't taking place in residential areas, and those that are at least the residents know exactly when fireworks are going to be going off so can be prepared.

The Kitten (now actually a juvenile cat) was a little bit agitated by some fireworks the other night, he kept running around like a nuttier and eventually threw up.

There were a few going off earlier but he was completely fine this time but I suspect he'll get unsettled when there's loads going off tomorrow night.

The previous cat simply wasn't scared at all.

our last dog suffered really badly with fireworks, we always made sure she had plenty of dark places to go with radios on in the background to try and mask the sound of the fireworks, very rarely worked so she’d more or less spend every night shaking over this time of the year. Our current dog doesn’t seem too bothered by them so far, she’s generally quite jumpy to loud noises like big lorries and tractors for example so I was expecting her to be slightly perturbed by fireworks but thankfully so far so good.

There were no reports of any injuries, West Yorkshire Police said.

Ch Supt Damien Miller said: "We made it clear from the outset that any instances of disorder or antisocial behaviour would not be tolerated and we were able to quickly respond."

Had a great home fireworks display in the back garden last night. Think the neighbours dog enjoyed it as well because it barked all the way through :wub:
