Looks like "remastered" = adding a piss filter, and 30fps on all consoles including the One X

£40 as well apparently.

Cheeky release of the third best saints row game (2 is still the best if only for the coffin revenge moment) and Gat goes to Hell is bloody awesome. Especially the flying controls.

£40 , 30 FPS and some crap DLC. Yeah that's a pass. I'll get it when it's stupidly cheap.

This has Games with gold/PSN+ by Christmas all over it.

Will get it when it goes on sale on Steam.

3 is the worst one, well maybe better than 1.

So it looks like this is a really good remaster, almost like a remake in places

60fps or thereabouts on the X1X and you can unlock the framerate in all versions. They speculate that it looks so good because these are based on assets for the next proper Saint's Row game.

Seems to be going for around £30 in most places, definitely going to pick this up.

This remaster definitely makes the game worth replaying, particularly for those who were on the fence regarding the sub-par Switch port. The effort that appears to have gone into this remaster also shows that there's a large consensus which suggests Saints 3 is a peak for the series and I'm inclined to agree.

Personally, I felt this game was a necessary change in direction after 2 - especially after GTA IV had kinda dulled my enthusiasm for the genre as a whole - and while the goof factor took centre stage, the game was still grounded in gang warfare, unlike Saints IV which, while still a lot of fun, betrayed the series appeal.

2 is easily the best game.

Perfect balance between cheesy fun stuff and brutal serious stuff.

Every game afterwards has leaned far too much into the cheese. I did really love how fun 4 was to play though.

I'm impressed by the effort that's going into this remaster. I wasn't going to bother with it but seeing the comparisons with the original release has definitely tempted me. I think 3 was my favourite. 2 had the best story but the game itself was so janky.

2 is way better than 3, 3 does the same as 2 in a less interesting place removes one of the best characters and just isn't as fun as 2 in any way shape or form. Its OK. 4 is also way better than this.

1 is the only one I would say is worse and that's due to it being some kind of shifty GTA rip off, where SR2 decided to change things up. The only stand out bit of this game which is on par with stuff from 2 and 4 is the 'I need a hero' bit. Other wise. Meh. Also what they did to Shaundi is strawberry floating wrong. Ruined her. I liked Kenzie or Kinzie (unsure of her name right now) though.

What's the one with the massive purple dildo?

I've only ever played the original, as it was basically the first glimpse at a next gen GTA. I enjoyed it and had a lot of fun with it (one of the best demos of all time too), but it was technically very ropey.

Looks like they put a lot of effort into this, surprisingly. Seems strange. Maybe they are trying to engage interest before announcing a new SR game? Seems likely.

If 2 was as good as anyone says it is it would have had a remaster by now.

Possibly, may need more work, or maybe this sold better off the back of 2 and 4 sold less off the back of this and they think this will sell the most of all the remasters they could do.
