There's not. It's MotionPlus enhanced for (sort of) 1:1 sword swinging.

Have you managed to lay the new wii zelda ? - reactions ??

Demo was very short, maybe 15 minutes long, so it's hard to effectively judge. Controls are great, art style's really nice (background has a watercolour, Impressionistic look to it which means it can have a decent draw distance but keep things slightly fuzzy.

Aonuma talked about Link originally being from a place in the clouds called Skyloft, and at the end of the trailer he dives down to the land you play in during the demo, so it seems you'll be spending some time in the sky too. I'd be surprised if you didn't get to actually skydive as Link - a la Wii Sports Resort. I wanted to ask that as the last question, but the guy with the mic went over to someone else instead. :(

EDIT: Of everything I played on the Nintendo stand, 3DS impressed me the most, but in terms of software, I'd have to pick Kirby. It really was great fun, and it looks absolutely gorgeous in motion. Enjoyed it more than DKCR, whose controls - and the weight of the protagonist - took a bit of getting used to.

Thank you ! - I get the feeling they have a near finished game here but are holding most of it back / sharing very little of it - presumably because they absolutely wanted the e3 focus to be on 3ds ?? I'm just really encouraged by all this talk of a return to something closer in feel to the original zeldas.

Right, I'm back. Hopefully tonight I'll get to answer any and all questions you might have about any games I played/saw. I'll also write something up later on - after the England game and after I've spent a bit of time with my wife and son.

I've been up for 33 hours straight without even a wink of sleep, so I'm hoping I'll kip well tonight.

Did you get a peek at L.A. Noire, I know it was there but I think it was behind closed doors.

Most important question in the history of videogaming!

Ohhh didn't know that.

No I didn't. Are you sure? Doesn't seem that anyone's seen it. Rockstar didn't have a presence at E3.

I will do when it comes out in the UK in July. I'm also getting Kinect.

Quite enjoyed the Move table tennis, by the way - though it was noticeable that you could completely miss the ball and it would still return it, if you just swung at the right time.

Was that on the hardest difficulty? I've heard they put assists like that on the lower settings, but all the pro difficulties in the game are meant to be bang on.

Not sure - I presume it was Normal. Can't imagine the demo was set to Hard or whatever. Despite being much more precise, it somehow felt flimsier, less solid than the version in Wii Sports Resort. Perhaps I just need more time with it, but I quite enjoyed it all the same. Still think Sorcery was the best use of Move out of everything on show. Easily the least sterile of the Move-centric games (not counting the titles that use it purely as an alternative control option, ie SOCOM).

Why didn't Sony make more of Journey? Or the rest of the downloadable stuff? A big PSN blowout would have made the conference vastly more interesting.

Was echochrome ii not playable? I thought that would have been the neatest use of Move at the show. :(

Whoops, maybe I said too much then. From my understanding, it was Sony showing it off behind closed doors, not Rockstar.

Maybe that's the case, though no-one I spoke to mentioned it. I had to see all Sony's stuff on the show floor as their PRs steadfastly refused to answer my phone calls/emails.

No. Well, if it was, I didn't see it and nor did anyone I spoke to (which was quite a lot of people).

What's all this I'm hearing about enhanced NES & SNES games being shown off on the 3DS at the show? Zelda, Yoshi's Island and Mega Man 2. There were apparently a bunch of other retro games shown off as well.

Did you see any of them, Mr. Schilling?
