Interesting. I was reading an article on the idea of teraforming deserts into forest in order to combat climate change. The main barrier was the cost of pumping and desalinating countless tonnes of sea water. Ultra energy cheap desalination makes the idea much more feasible.

One way to investigate whether time travel is possible is by describing the time travel scenario mathematically, then seeing whether that maths is a valid solution to Einstein's equations.

tl;dr Einstein's equations imply you can't change the past even if you have access to a time-travel wormhole.

If time travel was possible, we'd already have been visited by future GRcadians.
