But surely it’s impossible to put the jam on the cream!!?!? :roll:

On top of Jam, you can spread out clotted cream pretty evenly. Try it the other way round and you're just gonna end up with a mess.

I'm yet to hear one good argument for cream first and I for one cannot let such dangerous ideas go unchecked.

You know you’re supposed to use clotted cream right? It’s not really much runnier than jam.

I often find the jam runnier, and the clotted cream makes for a more solid base.

Exactly, jam is thinner but stickier, so makes a nice even base. Then, you add dollops of clotted cream and squish down as needed.

Naturally we both had the clotted cream on first, with the jam on top like normal functioning members of society.

I took pics, they were amazing (the scwuns not the pics)

You spread the Jam then put the cream on top.
