If we get a No, I want to see Salmond dragged in front of the Iron throne and made to bend the knee. Then we can send Cameron up to Scotland to be Warden of the North.
Seriously though, I genuinely want the best for Scotland, I know some Scots and they have been excellent company and bloody fine people. One is one of my very best friends. It's a shame nationalists from both sides feel animosity due to stuff that happened centuries ago, the vast majority of people I know basically just want to live happily side by side.
It's the same with football yobs.

I can't see why it would ever go any way other than Yes.
No simply failed to provide any rationale to the contrary simply saying "well, it could be worse." To which the overwhelming response was "aye? how?"
The fact of the matter is that Westminster has slowly dismantled the very fabric of British culture 'til just about the only remnant is... well, Westminster. Well, we've privatised everything else. Maybe it's about time we did the same thing with government. Competition breeds best-in-service, does it not?

The Yes campaign was built entirely on maybes and what they
wanted to happen rather than what is likely to actually happen. There were no compromises, no considerations or explanations of potential risks of independence, just "It'll be great and we'll get everything we want". If I believed the Yes campaign at face value I'd believe that Scotland will automatically and immediately be an EU member, will have a formal currency union with the UK, that Oil reserves will last a minimum of 50 more years and that there is absolutely no risk to the Scottish financial system or employment. None of that can be taken as fact though, and much of it is doubtful at best.
Unfortunately some people have fallen for the entirely positive message because from a PR perspective it certainly does sound better than the more down to earth No campaign that's had to outline all of the risks of independence. The Yes campaign has basically just been pandering to nationalism and telling people what they want to hear.

I genuinely have no idea how this vote will go - that does make it interesting (along with the small matter of national sovereignty). I think we're all a bit jaded about the so-called democratic process when we feel so stuck with the same old, same old in our national politics. I hope Scotland stays part of the Union, but I could understand if they want to strike out and take their chances independently.
Salmond comes across a nice fella - slightly jaunty, probably a good laugh and all that, but it's a shame his 'Yes' campaign has been tailgated by so many vicious lefties along the way. Now, hold on - I'm not saying the 'No's haven't had their share of nutjobs, but all the same. The extreme left of the 'Yes' campaign has been worrying at times. A very ugly spectacle.

Doesn't really mean much, as we already knew that social media was hugely on the side of yes. It is interesting though.
