Aye. 8-)

Going to be fascinating - possibly historic - news to wake up to tomorrow morning. Regardless of the result Scotland will still be part of Britain geographically and I, like the vast majority of the English, have nothing but time for Scotland and the Scottish. Tomorrow might change our relationship, perhaps forever, but that's all - it will change it, not end it.

Prediction on that poll: No winning 52/48.

They kept that quiet.

At least there will be something to talk about now.

I didn't think there were any exit polls?

I think if and when positive change comes out of independence, the people of England will not be long in following suit with a strong, "just next door" example of how to do things. That is what I think of when I hear the term "Better Together".

Weird that after a day of people complaining about the lack of exit polls, YouGov have popped up and said "we've done one!". Did anyone know about this before an hour ago?

It's on the BBC news feed. I don't know what's happening with it, to be honest. We'll see how it goes. I also think it'll be something like 52-48 no.

It's quite amusing to watch all the websites/papers/tv etc start hyping up THE RESULT when they won't know the bulk of the figures until 3-4 o'clockish, and then the actual result a few hours after.

HYPE! FILLER! WASTE OF SPACE! etc

You don't think this is something that deserves to be hyped up? 10% of the UK population might be about to break off and go alone, that's momentous.

Not really. It's been talked about day etc. Put a nice film on and then actually go back to coverage when you have something to say.

Scotland is an AMAZING place. Good luck folks, and whatever the outcome, hope it works out.

I guess it will be a real shock for everyone in this country if the Scots really do manage to win a 'Yes' vote. I'd imagine it'll send the national media here in Olde England into a frenzy. In a way I'd quite like it to happen, just to watch the sh*tstorm that would explode. It really would be a moment of real history.

Nope. Not an exit poll.

We’re getting the poll at 10.30am.

YouGov poll carried out today to be released at 10.30. Not an exit poll but the best we are going to get

Apparently it’s a poll of people in Scotland who have voted. It’s not what you would call a conventional exit poll, because YouGov did not poll people in person outside polling stations. Instead, it seems they questioned members of their internet panel who said they had cast a vote

I'm looking forward to waking up with BBC Breakfast for news of the result tomorrow morning, and seeing whether Carol has left the rest of those talentless gobshites in the dust.

I've just realised we've got murrays tweet all wrong, he says that the no campaigns negativity was swayed his view on it, come on guys lets do this.

Surely that means he's siding with the no campaign. He is a very negative person, so he will naturally be drawn towards a negative campaign. I think some people owe him an apology.

Well that's pointless then as it will be influenced by a younger demographic. So not a real cross section.
