I'd imagine the focus would then turn to securing the extra powers for the Holyrood government that were promised during this campaign.

If it is a narrow victory for no do you think there will be any change in the main UK parties? Paddy Powers over/under market suggests they expect the Yes vote to be in the region of 47% which is a lot of people saying they don't have much faith in the big three parties. Will those parties change or will securing a No be considered job done?

Maybe he'll become the figure head of the SBS. Then you'll be sorry.

This only happened because Burns (handy metaphor) stole all the oil.

Scotland is proportionally wealthier than the UK overall, has about the same spending level and contributes about £800 per a capita more in taxes than the rest of the UK. So, yeah, we're going to be poorer in the event of a yes. :(

I suppose the question from the pro-independence point of view is whether that increased wealth will be entirely wiped out or not by the need for more spending on establishing independent services. In the short term at least there is going to be some pretty significant investment required so it might be decades before you see any real difference in prosperity if at all.

That Groundskeeper Willie speech offended me horribly. Wasn't even sure where the humorous parts were meant to begin.

I didn't bother to watch it. I know that no matter what he says in it, he will only take away from the work of the Yes campaign by portraying their supporters as literal cartoon Scotsmen.

My employer's CEO has just raised a few public questions about Scottish independence. That's mildly worrying.

I just meant it offended me due to how shite it was. Couldn't give a strawberry float about its effect on how either campaign is perceived.

More BBC bias! Or is it.

I'm switching my pretend vote to "No". I like Scotland and on the evidence before me I think she'd suffer as an independent state. There is, however, a part of me that wants the "Yes" camp win, just to see what actually happens.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

Well it's almost time. I'll be glad when it's over and we can get on with implementing whatever our northern neighbours have chosen. Anything like this brings out the best and worst in both sides if the debate.
Some people have carried themselves with a bit more class than others. Both on here and in the media. It's going to be historic either way and a real ' I was there' moment to tell future generations.
