Did he really feel the need to stick his head above the parapet?

How big headed and presumptuous of them.

Bear in mind a lot of those people are the kind of people who think Scotland is the greatest country in the world by virtue of the fact they were born there.

Nigel's statement

07:39
UKIP leader Nigel Farage tells BBC Radio 4's Today: "I'm writing to Scottish MPs to say please commit from today not to vote or debate at Westminster on English issues.

Sounds like he's a bit salty that they've got more say in English politics than he does.

Yep. The self-proclaimed moral superiority of (hopefully) a minority of Yes voters has been pretty laughable. Nobody wants or supports poverty or inequality.

I was screaming at the radio he (Farage) came on this morning - him and his stupid opinions. I do not know why the BBC give him so much air time. I thought they were meant to be impartial.

I'm a little bit gutted for Scotland tbh :( hopefully they get given something. Although I would not put it past Cam the Man and his mates to ignore the whole thing. The strawberry floating snakes.

55% of Scotland might not have wanted to or meant to, but they just supported both.

Distasteful that the Highlands haven't even declared yet and now it's all "english votes for english laws". Give it an hour boys.

Just woke up and saw the results.

I voted no. Edinburgh voting No was predictable, as was Glasgow voting yes

28/32 districts is pretty unanimous. Glad to see theyve appointed Lord Smith of Kelvin to get devolution ball rolling.

Yeah but according to some reports people voted lots of times ;)

Interesting to see contrasting Yes supporters today across the interwebs

"Whatever happened, we can be proud. Change will come, we did that. Engagement in the political process shows the will of the people"
vs
"We're strawberry floated. Utterly strawberry floated. Cowardly "country men" screwed us. Nothing will change. We're slaves still. Embarassed to be Scottish. Game over man! Game over!"

(Paraphrasing, and only slightly exaggerating)

Well done Scotland, not for the result necessarily but for the turnout.

Democracy :datass:
