Sounds like he's a bit salty that they've got more say in English politics than he does.

On a morning all about the Scottish I've seen Nigel Farage on three channels talking about the West Lothian question! He's certainly positioning himself up as the 'voice of the English people.'



As for Scotland in these times of global uncertainty i feel we, internationally speaking, are stronger together. Voter turnout was record breaking and new powers mean Salmond has still succeeded in bringing some new change and independence to Scotland.

Why do so many scots seem to think they are getting devo max now? The major parties signed a letter to say that they would devolve more powers that was all. Now everyone seems to be going on about devo max. I thinks it's important that people realise the difference otherwise we are suddenly going to have a lot of people claiming that they were lied to and tricked when in fact they've just misunderstood.

Can someone explain who Devo Max is?

I feel sick tbh and embarrassed by my country, all this proud Scottish identity can get strawberry floated, we've voted to be British. I don't expect to see any change politically in this country, Labour is absolutely dead to me and I'll probably never vote for them again, I anticipate the Tories winning an easy majority next time round. Can't wait.

So now it appears that our four countries union is continiung for a while and Westminster are looking a lot of things, does that mean this coming general election they might actually give us real reasons to want to bother to go to vote?

Welcome to democracy! The majority in Scotland voted to stay British (although you would've been British anyway as we live on the British isles) and now the best thing you can do is look to the future, infact that's the best thing all of our countries should do. Look forward to improve our great union. Within it our small little island owned 1/4 of the worlds land surface at one point and despite some horrible things that we did, we also managed to achieve many great things together.

The only thing we need is our government not to become America 2.0. Hopefully this referendum will have rattled a few cages and helped stop that from happening. All we can hope for as a union is that each member gets more power over it's own people and also to become closer and closer with the EU and not further apart. I hope now that if an EU referendum takes place that we stay in!

Possibly if the different parties start promising different reform but realistically the election will probably come too soon for this to be the main agenda.

The UK government won't be able to live up to their promise of devolution so I reckon a re-vote in 2020.

It is exactly 'opinions' like Lukes that I cant grasp. Its all well and fine to govern yourself, which I would be clearly for as well but all the yes vote doesn't seem to even consider economic impact. The pound is at a two year this morning with the no vote for Christ sake.
