In other news: I might be picking up a tablet tomorrow, this thread having piqued my interest. I have a shall we say interesting idea for some Ainsley Harriott fanart. I know I said this on Mumble, but I love your Ainsley on the cross. The volcano erupting in the background makes it.

I got my tablet back from my parents' house yesterday. Just trying to aquire Photoshop now so I can get doodling.

I also would like a new avatar, but not of my current one. I want it to be of Jesus Christ, (alleged superstar,) sucker punching a T-rex, whilst wearing RayBans and riding on rocket boots across the desert, away from a massive, mushroom cloud creating, Nuclear explosion. His stigmata should also be clearly visible, although I understand if you have to cover the wounds on his feet with the straps for the rocket boots. Would Jesus really need straps for his rocket boots though? Surely he could just command them to stay on his feet with magic. I don't know, I'll let you use your creative judgement there. But he should definitely have big old holes in his palms. Also, if he could be knocking some of the Dinosaur's teeth out, that's be cool too. Oh, and the Dinosaur's family should all be there crying, because they just watched Jesus beat up their dad, and he doesn't even think he was real.

How do you draw on the pc?

I had a convo with karl and he said you can practise to make yourself better, but I find it really hard to see what the picture in my head is and my handwriting is terrible so it's even harder to put what I see in my head to the paper. Like I can't see distinguishing features in the images in my head, I don't see shadows and depth either, does that just come automatically in your head?

In regards to the physicality of it, its very quick to get used to. I just practiced (the very first pic I posted in this thread) till it felt right.

As to the skill of it, Id say Im far from skilled. Ive always doodled, as far as I can remember, and my mum was an exceptional artist so I guess I get a bit from her. I get a kind of image in my mind, an abstract sort of idea, a general vision that Im after. Then I get at it. The designs change a billion times as I draw them. You tend to feel what kind of depth and light is in the scene, my fingers just go on their own.

You'll know if its unnatural because it looks weird, simple as.

@Killaroo, Ive tried a few times but I just cant hit anything with your av - Its already a pretty stylised unique cartoon tbh and all I can do is clone it, doesnt really add anything..
