I caught a few episodes the first time around. All the new cast were pretty crap, but I quite like Denise (and Sunny) :wub:

There's some good gags here and there, but I hate most of the characters (most are either annoyingly kooky or just plain banana splits) - and it's so bloody sentimental. JD's 'heartfelt' monologues at the end make me cringe.

Not for me.

Well, that's Season 9 done with. Takes a while to get going, and pretty much all the new guys suck until the 8th episode :fp:

Shame they didn't make it to a tenth season, would've been interesting to see where they went with Drew, he was probably the most interesting new character.

I do think Season 9 would have been better if the writers had also treated it more like a brand new show. Not sure who's idea it was to have JD, Turk and Dr Cox as such major characters in the first few episodes, but it sort of messed up the whole "intern" thing they had going on. That last episode of season 8 should have been the end of JD's story. Maybe have him turn up a few seasons down the line of Med School in a "Where are they now" fashion, but starting the first episode with him set the wrong precedent. What happened to his job at St Vincents?

Season 9 also needed more of Sonal Shah :wub:
