I'm game for a meet up, especially now we have this feckin' virus going about. The best way to learn I reckon, would be with the latest tale, it's pretty damn cool but would take about 2hrs.

Myself, Matt and Grum play fairly often again recently. Jenuall joined for one session too. If you fancy joining us to learn the ropes then by all means you can. we usually start around 9pm. You can only have 4 people at most to a ship.

There's the Maiden Voyage which will give you a good (supposedly, as I've never done it) overview of what you will be doing, and if you haven't played the game yet then I think you have to do it anyway.

What time do you play until?

Thanks, I will look at doing the thing that is compulsory and single player by the sound of it? Then get in touch. Do you play on particular days or just when the mood takes you?

Depends when I fall asleep

Normally until 12. It depends on if we move onto another game after a few voyages.

Ships of Fortune is the latest “Sea of Thieves” monthly update, coming April 22 free for all players across Xbox One, Windows 10 and Xbox Game Pass.

Ships of Fortune introduces an entirely new element to trading companies but allowing pirates to serve as emissaries and collect bonus loot and exclusive rewards while introducing Reaper’s Bones as an all-new company.

The Arena sees an overhaul, replacing treasure maps with a single chest and cash-in location to ensure a furious and frantic battle for victory.

Also Cats!!

New update out now

Seems this will be a massive shake up of the norm, sounds pretty amazing tbh. Anything that speeds up progression is welcome plus now tall tales have added check points, new arena looks simplified and there's a sh*t ton of other things thrown in.

I'll be on from 6.

This game always sounds so amazing. Am i right in thinking some of you play SP? It just doesn't sound like it would work very well like that. Thoughts from anyone here that plays regularly? Can you transition between SP and MP depending on your day to day real life situation? A lot of the time it's really not possible for me to be playing with a mic (i work in a porn studio).

It's much more fun with a crew of friends but you can play solo if you want. You can mix and match multiplayer and single player as you want as only your levels and other stats carry over from one session to the next. If you start a session playing solo, you can still invite friends to join you, depending on which size ship you have chosen for that session.

Sorry, SP - Single Player, MP - Multiplayer.

Cheers for the clarification Zaichik, maybe i should sample it in single player and at least grasp the fundamentals before annoying anyone on here.

I have a different view to Photek, playing solo is boring as gooseberry fool. Obviously people will differ with that opnion as Photek and I have shown, but that's my opnion on it. PLlaying in MP is damn fantastic fun though.

It's definitely something that depends on what you're doing. The regular contracts from the guilds are easy enough to complete solo, but anything other than that you'll struggle with, and if you get into ship combat you'll be lucky to survive. Multiplayer's definitely better if you're equipped for it, but that doesn't mean solo can't be enjoyable.

Cool, thanks for the opinions guys. I’m going to have to face my mild social anxiety head on and play with you lot!
