Thank you very much to my Santa, I can't post photos at the moment as on iPad but will later. I received an awesome official Super Metroid mug, I drink a whole gooseberry fool tonne of tea to keep me going throughout the day and this is instantly my favourite and the finish is much better than most of these sorts of mugs (for those that don't know I have a merchandising business so know how things are made). It is stoneware so has a nice weight to it, nice and thick so won't crack easily and it has little details from the original US SNES box art I believe, featuring Ridley who is my favourite Metroid enemy beside maybe metroids. I love how glossy and black it is so should be easy to keep clean with a good lacquer in it, definitely won't be leaving that one to soak in the sink and hand wash it so less washing up lying around!!

And secondly the new inkling girl amiibo which is much more detailed and well proportioned with better colour accuracy so I really appreciate that, as I have Ridley (good thing I didn't get him again) that leaves me with 2 new smash amiibos plus my Samus that should work when I eventually get a switch (and I definitely didn't deserve to get Denny again lol), and hopefully this will unlock something in splatoon 2 as well so always a good long play that one. Based on the figure and I may or may not have memorised real name accidentally (sorry) I think I know who my Santa is anyway super glad they know what I like

Also glad my gifts have been well received will provide more info tomorrow after the reveals as while I didn't gift everything I wanted due to time and money unfortunately it was a nice result so took my own pics lol. Also waiting to see another Santa I had a minor role in this year which makes it unique for me, I get to enjoy two reveals almost as much as my own.

I will say thanks to Denny again for sending out a hotel chocolate calendar, I haven't had them aside from this and last year thanks to him and it does make that small literal difference each day having a choc to munch on and it also kept me in check knowing what sat it was lol so thank you both

Great job from my Santa (Who through the power of deduction I believe to be LewisD).

Not gone through the Ashens book yet, but I've to score myself a point for every game I know from it. A brief glance and I think that score will be zero.

The T-Shirt is the best bit for me. Myself, Lewis, Pedz and Peter Crisp spent a lot of fun times on the first Division game (Think we played through the whole game from start to finish as well as the later raids and stuff) and it's probably been my favourite Multiplayer experience to date. Amazing gift Santa!

They're Whisky Stones.
You bung them in the freezer and they are designed to keep your whisky cool without watering them down like you get with ice cubes.

It's a bugbear to get a posh whisky and have the taste diluted by ice.

It's a bugbear to get a posh whisky and have the taste diluted by ice.

I take one ice. Doesn't a little water make it more palletable? Like salivating which whiskey causes. I don't usually let it melt.

My grandparents are/were Scottish and watering down is normal if you don't want a strong tasting drink (or for children ) but it's not really wrong btw. For some whiskeys you get more taste notes because it's not super strong ash, peat or acidic flavours that overpower the fruity or sweet ones.
