It closed earlier last year and ran fine, and you raised the same complaint then as well so I’ll tell you roughly what I did last year - sign ups will close on 10th november, then all participants will have to probably a further ten days to get me their addresses and other finer details so any stragglers can get in touch then. Everyone will have around four weeks to get their presents out.
Last year we had zero sign ups after the initial close date however, and I don’t remember anyone in the thread cursing that they’d missed out(though I’m happy to be corrected).
All the usual participants and any regular poster who has made their way across from one of the affiliates should have more than enough time to get online to see this thread. Anyone who signed up last year that doesn’t sign up by 9th November will get a PM from yours truly to
bully them into it remind them this is happening.

I have never taken part, I may. Put me down as a may e for now.
I'd like to do it to give someone a nice gift, but at the same time it means looking through millions of posts to see if I can actually get them something they like and don't have. I'm not a good gift giver.

As a big fan of the XMAS I'd love to take part in this.
That said are there any more details anywhere? Is it a random assignment? Is there a spend limit? etc.

Unless Cora is changing things, it is usually pretty simple. You will be given a random person to buy for, the minimum limit is £10 and make sure they get their present before Christmas Day. Don't be a Vesp.

Awesome, I'm sure I've got a great recipe for a chocolate mayonnaise cake somewhere.
Failing that I could just send over some chips with lots of lovely mayo slathered all over them.
