They've treated me to two games on my swapping wishlist: Batman and Horizon, but on top of that got me an Ivysaur amiibo with a custom base :!: AND a really good quality Poliwhirl tshirt that is the exact right size!! Not to mention a charming card with some lovely drawings.

Thank you and bless you Santa :toot:

Yay lovely photos! :msgreen:

Aha yes you can perhaps guess why I've been a bit quiet on that front, it is indeed a handmade amiibo base from choice mahogany in my wood stash, I designed in 3D modelling then cut it on the CNC, I finished it with chisels, about 4 grades of sandpaper and tung and linseed oil (Danish oil). Tried to be a little freestyle with the design, pretty much made it up as I went along in the software I just renewed license for, so mostly inverse fillets, kept it quite simple (which is usually good), and quite a bit of rounding off I did by hand just because I couldn't be bothered to model it and generate tool paths for it :slol:

Glad you like the T-shirt as I also made this myself, it is a rayon flock so it should last ages and is soft and fuzzy as I'm sure you noticed, it is quite unusual and pretty sure Nintendo won't make anything like that due to the economy or lack thereof. I unfortunately did stretch it off the heat press so it's not perfect, got really upset about it but my partner told me I was just being a perfectionist and it's fine :fp:, as I shouldn't have done that (creates tiny cracks) but used to the standard polyurethane stuff. Layering it up wasn't easy so I was very pleased it came out registered OK :). The shirt is organic ringspun, it's what I had in your size which I figured out with a good bit of stalking so glad you fit it, reminds me a bit of Asos shirts but it's the own brand from one of my wholesale suppliers and I haven't had an opportunity to use it for anything and that's good feedback for me, thanks! Wanted to make something you could actually wear, hence the little pocket print, without people asking too many questions :slol: plus as your avatar it was the logical choice!

I also picked the ivysaur because I went back through your Pokemon journeys over the years on the forum and noticed you tended to have a bulbasaur, ivysaur or venasaur in your team despite them being original blue and red 'mons so might have some kind of soft spot for that one too. I saw the Smash Ultimate one and it just came together like that.

I was pretty nervous one of the games wouldn't arrive as it turns it shipped from Switzerland and of course you might have either game already (if you do then let me know and I'll do a swap as I don't have either of those games ;) ) so that all come together last minute, the Batman game was Amazon prime so that did get here when expected.

So pleased you like your gifts and it was a pleasure putting it all together. Really wanted to do some unique things and also some store-bought things, as there's been some years I can only do the former due to being skint, and this year was a bit better. Thanks for sharing and I will upload some pics of the making process later too and I think I took some videos too. :)

As for me my Secret Santa gifted me an absolutely lovely limited edition (1 of 5000) Moleskin hardback notebook with Legend of Zelda NES theme, it even comes in a NES-style cartridge slip and a golden display/storage box, which will be useful for maybe fitting another one in and keeping it nice when I put it back on my shelve once I've filled it. Gaminglegend obviously did their research as I've probably mentioned moleskins and Filofaxes before, I'm pretty obsessed with nice books/stationary then again as a professional I use them all the time for notes and drawings, and they go together as a really nice little library all of my own making and it's just so much nicer to have that then gigantic piles of paper, when you look bac over time. And it seems to also encourage better work in a subtle way because you don't want to spoil the book by just filling it with half arsed stuff. I am thinking I might just freestyle write ideas for games in it until something comes together and I have enough mechanics and settings, characters etc ideas to start building the art and then maybe team up with a programmer someday to build it (or learn to code property), just really feels I needs to be used thematically! Maybe one day those notes will be released! I know it's a limited item but I won't waste such things by leaving them sealed lol so it will go to good use I am certain, it's easily my favourite themed book and I don't actually have any of those as they are quite dear!! :shifty:

That and I had no idea whatsoever (because I don't look at them), Nintendo were doing custom notebooks so it was a genuine surprise!

Again will post pics later but they are on an SD card and not entering my workplace at least Xmas/Boxing Day to keep the brain off businessy things, so stay tuned for those!

And yes I do have sparkling balls

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

Huge thanks to Jenuall for my gifts:

https://photos.app.goo.gl/72bz6PbdgBRzVqez8

Love the Lego car and the Mass Effect face mask in particular.

Gaminglegend I hope my gift was ok - I’m sorry if you might already have one but if so I can send you a receipt so you can exchange it.

Thanks again to JChlamers for organising too.

Clarkman, I sorta said before but thank you so much for my gifts. I've got two more sentimental ornaments to put on my tree every year with all the others and you'll be happy to know the Bonsai is doing ok, it's growing new leaves and it's almost ready for me to start using the food it comes with as fertiliser. I haven't opened any of the rum yet but I'll start drinking one of those tomorrow! :D

Forgot to post my death Star ice globes!

Once frozen they resemble leaking urethras:

Glad you like them! You'd been posting a lot in three very non-giftable threads (Coronavirus, Politics and US Politics) but you said FFVII was one of your all time favourites so I went with that. And some form of game was the obvious choice!

Did you only get one parcel? I sent what you've received by Royal Mail but there's something else that was coming direct from a supplier. I think I have a tracking number so I'll look into it today.

Don't be too proud of this glacial terror you've constructed. The ability to chill a whisky is insignificant next to the power of the Force.

Ah, you were supposed to receive another one. I checked it on Boxing Day and Royal Mail's tracking was saying they'll only update once they've attempted delivery so it looks like it's AWOL somewhere along the line. I'll email the seller and see what I need to do. Sorry man!
