I'm struggling with mine at the moment, I'm going deep into the rabbit hole of vintage postings to get an idea, you would think I could've skewed the draw so I got an easy person but thought I'd keep it nice and fair :slol:

Having done this a few times now I'm trying to work out whether getting someone with a higher or lower post count is preferable.

With a low post count you obviously have less to search through but then there is the risk that they may not have mentioned enough to give you any solid clues. With a high poster it can be difficult to get through loads of posts that are, from a SS perspective, useless! :lol:

What's everyone's thoughts on going for one bigger, but more substantial gift over lots of little ones?

You spread the risk of disappointment out going for lots of little ones, but the potential to really nail it is a bit higher for the one bigger one.

I had initially intended to take part in this, but when it was first announced i simply wasn't in the right headspace (though that said, the gnome was too heavy to send to anyone anyways).

Will likely sign up next time though if all is well.

I've been poked by the jolly red bloke! Well Secret Santa, my hobbies are painting/arts and crafts (I sew, make key rings from resin and hama beads, make figures from clay ), cooking from scratch and gaming. (I love a good RPG that I can get stuck into, jrpgs are my favourite gaming genre, but I also love puzzle games like picross and things along those lines.) I also like music, I listen to a mix of rock, indie, dance (daft punk sort of stuff) and electronic.

I own a switch, xbox 360, ps3, ps4 and 3ds, but I play the switch and 3ds a lot more than the other consoles.

I don't actually have many dislikes, I'm normally not a very fussy person! I do not like beer though, the aftertaste is something I dont enjoy whatsoever.

You've also asked my clothing sizes, I'm a curvy lady :lol:

I'm normally a size 16 but I tend to go for bigger clothes as I like stuff baggy, so I normally buy an 18.

Finished buying everything today! Going to package it up and hope I order something in the coming weeks with a suitable size box to post it all off in. :lol:

I have been poked :-)

Main things I enjoy:
- I'm a huge Pompey fan/season ticket holder/DML+PPM hugger.
- I run reasonably long distances.
- I am a profitable poker player but don't find too much time to play at the mo.
- Please buy me a real puppy.
- I absolutely love human anatomy and physiology (and teach it for a living).
- I'm not a huge gamer. I rack up ridiculous hours on Among Us and Football Manager, but nothing else, really. Not entirely sure how I ever ended up here, tbh. Oh I also used to play a lot of the Total War series (only the 'real' ones though, not warhammer version etc.).
- Huge fan of old films (like 30s/40s/50s/60s). Big love for the Cary Grant/Frank Sinatra/Tony Curtis/Jack Lemmon/Ginger Rogers/Fred Astaire/Bing Crosby/Louis Armstrong era.
- I play the piano and guitar at quite a high level.
- I'm a Welsh rugby fan.
- I like burning things.
- I love anything to do with history, particularly military history. Huge WW2 buff (particularly planes/ships), Also know an abnormally large amount about WW1, Russia between 1890 and 1955, the Romans, and Medieval Britain.

That should be enough to go on with. One present for each of those categories will be lovely. I look forward to the truck load of gifts :wub:
