So the Shadowlands release date has been confirmed as October 27th
https://www.gameinformer.com/gamescom-2020/2020/08/27/world-of-warcraft-shadowlands-releases-october-27I personally haven't played since the end of Patch 8.2. I think it was around the tail end of last year that it ran out. I was planning on re-subbing for 8.3, but the overall theme - and complaints about the quests for the Visions of N'Zoth - put me off so I didn't bother in the end.
I'm really interested in the new customisation options that are being introduced - especially for Dwarves. Although my 'main' is a Dwarf hunter, I was playing a Dwarf paladin at the time my sub ran out because - although I'd largely ignored paladins since TBC - I found that the play-style really suited me. I like the resource usage and abilities for DPS and tanking, plus a good amount of self-healing and emergency get out of jail free cards for PvP. So although I don't really like playing 'religious' style classes, I found the play-style suited me enough to ignore it.
So when I return my Paladin will be swiftly customised to look like a Wildhammer!
My dwarf hunter has probably spent the most time as my 'main' throughout the expansions. My warrior was my main for good a period of time in Cata and what little I played of WoD, but I got tired of the lack of self-healing in PvP and the inability to solo much in PvE. My rogue probably has the most playtime after that.
However, like most. I used the restored old-school AV last year to level up a good chunk of my characters to 120. That was probably the most fun I've had in the game in
yearsI also didn't like how professions were handled in BfA so I really hope they change for the better in Shadowlands. I really haven't been keeping up-to-date with the news recently to know what's changing though.
